I had a complete review of my lab results and vital signs most were acceptable with the A1c not my best. We discussed it and I blame myself for the increased number. I have cut my carbs! I will accomplish this feat. I did meet the new doctor and I can't remember his name at the moment. Although he seems very nice. Hope we get along. All in all a successful day.

Don't go to him. He will brush off valid concerns. When you need a specialist, you will have to fight him for a referral, have medication allergies? He'll say you just can't handle side effects. In pain? You're just looking for drugs. Chronically ill child? You're overreacting. He's made his mind up before he walks in the room, so unless your bone is protruding from your skin or you're visibly bleeding excessively, you won't get any real answers, you will be brushed off.

I went to him for years, as a teen struggling with anxiety, he said i was depressed, put ne on a medication i reacted to. When i brought it up again as an adult, he told me that i "needed to learn how to deal with life". It was a my neurologist, who finally addressed it. As a mother, my infant was very sick. Nonstop throwing up. He blew me off, told me that "babies throw up", I'm a new mom therefore "overcautious". Finally, when my child was a year old, i demanded a referral to a pediatric GI doctor at geisinger. He grudgingly obliged with an attitude of "if it will make you stop". That specialist found my child had an infection in her intestines, and megacolon. After he got her out of the woods, he said that 6 more months and she'd have been hospitalized or dead. Never once did redka apologize or admit he was wrong to ignore me. In fact a few years later, my husband went to him for severe neck and shoulder pain. Redka brushed it off for almost 2 years, then sent him to a specialist...after some imaging, he was immediately scheduled for surgery. Don't go to this man if you have more than a sniffle, you will he ignored, treated like you are crazy.

He is the worst doctor I have ever had. He looks for any oppertunity to charge you extra. Asked one question, he charged me more than $100. He ordered medication refill after I told him that I was alergic to it and stopped taking it.

Dr. Redka is very caring, intelligent and concerned about his patients. He is never in a rush and focuses fully on his patients. He is knowledgeable and is current on his research
