From start to finish this was a great experience. I was extremely anxious to have the carpal tunnel release surgery. I had seen other doctors a few years ago, but was reluctant. I finally made an appointment with Dr. Takei. He was exactly who I needed. He spoke TO me not at me, and listened to my concerns and worries and gave honest and compassionate answers. Scheduling was made so easy. The staff at the New Brittan Surgery Center are kind and very compassionate individuals. From check-in, to the nurse sending me off. Dr.Takei saw I was scared while I was receiving The anesthesia and spoke kindly to me before I was out. The incision is done beautifully, I have seen other with large surgical scarring but Dr.Takei kept it small clean and straight. ( I’m so happy for that). The staff called and checked in on me on 3 times throughout the 10s before post-op check. I am healing nicely, and Dr. Takei again honest about my recovery time and what to expect. I am extremely happy I did have this surgery, I am very grateful to Dr. Takei and all the staff.

Broke/dislocated my wrist and was very lucky that Dr. Takei was on call at the hospital that night. It was a complex break, that required two surgeries to correct. I could tell that my case was not a typical one, but he and his team were fabulous all through. I completely trust Dr. Takei, and while I hope I will never need his services again, I wouldn’t hesitate to use them if needed!

Dr Takei really is an amazing doctor. His knowledge of his profession really shows through his attitude and surgery. I am so happy that I choose him to handle my Carpal Tunnel Release surgery. Not only is he amazingly knowledgeable but his compassion for his patients is what places him above the rest!!
