Have been seeing him for care for my 3 year old. Have had a great experience thus far. I dont feel rushed into a decision and he clearly has my sons best interest in mind.
Bedside manner leaves much to be desired. He overcorrected both of my daughters eyes and seemed as though he could have cared less. We changed doctors and now go to Boston, they are so much better.
I had both eyes done one of them was over corrected. The Doctor never suggested fixing his mistake, and at my last visit the office manager loudly asked me what are you doing to do about your balance of $365.00 with a waiting room full of people. I left, I am 54 years old and am not respected
The planning of appointments in this office is so poor. They overbook and every visit they have run at least an hour behind. They have absokutely no regard for their patients time.
He is straitforward and calm. He will not sugarcoat the diagnosed but give you excellent care.
My daughter has been a patient of Dr. Tien snce she had eye surgey at the age of 18 months. I would highly recommend Dr. Tien for his abilities, patience, and dedication to his work. The office staff is fantastic and always professional and we are never rushed. If I had to note a negative it would be the Providence office as it is not easily accessible. The Warwick office solves that problem though. One suggestion would be an East Bay office.
