List of Darla Murphy's Reviews
Dr. Murphy is a poor listener and has misdiagnosed me twice, and I've only been a patient for about a year. She doesn't listen or value a patient's own experience with their diagnosed chronic conditions. Additionally, the automatic blood pressure monitors in this office are way off. Staff is rude and tells you that you have "white coat syndrome" (that you're nervous, which is why the results are high), which is ridiculous. I've had cancer and other serious conditions and never had this happen, so why would I be anxious coming to see a PCP? Rather than listen to me, they stood by the BP reading. When they later took my BP manually at my insistence, it was, of course, my normal low BP. They just said, "See, it's better now." I do not trust Dr. Murphy or her staff with my medical care and am looking for a new doctor.
Dr Murphy is a good communicator. Listens and asks good questions.
I had her in the past. She is an excellent doctor! I wish I could have taken her out of state with me when we moved!
Easy to talk to, knowledgeble No long waiting
I am pleased with the care I have received from Dr. Murphy she is very thorough and explains things well. She even brought out a medical book to show me the anatomy of the foot to explain what she was telling me was wrong with my foot. She was absolutely correct in her diagnosis, a foot specialist verified that.
I have had several appointments in which Dr. Murphy dismissed my concerns. Following my last appointment I had a follow question to which her response was that she did not recall seeing me for that concern (only 3 days prior), but would be glad to discuss if I wanted to come back in. Very disturbing that she couldn't remember a patient visit from 3 days prior. The wait time is generally 60 minutes or more.
Unless you enjoy being treated like a cash cow, seek a different doctor. Requested a Wellness exam as a new patient and was charged $222 for a "new patient" inspection and would have to make a second appointment for the wellness exam.
Saw Dr. Murphy last year when I became ill with a myriad of odd symptoms. She never could figure out what was wrong with me and at my last appointment with her I left in tears. She made me feel that I was making my symptoms up and basically threw her hands up, then tried to pawn me off on a rheumatologist. I never went back. I found another doctor who figured out my problems. Lyme disease and co-infections along with several active viruses. Awful experience. Kate, the NP, is great though
You are definitely on a assembly line at this office complex, you will get 3/4's of your questions answered per visit-fact! At least there is not to much of a wait per visit. You hope to get her for the full 15 minutes (at best-normally less) in the examination room. At least you will not waste a lot of time/hours there...Be happy you are not at a Henry Ford Hospital or clinic, they missed out on Henry Ford's concept of assembly lines!
Dr. Murphy used to be a good doctor. Service and care have drastically gone downhill over the last 2 years. Extremely disappointed with this doctor and the quality of care.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
