List of Village Medical's Reviews
Not very confident with billing, orders and use of my insurance. I got a bill although they took my insurance, called billing, told my insurance was not processed. Blood work order was made to “bill patient” even though I had presented my insurance info. Had to re-emphasize that I have insurance. Couldn’t get a CT scan because the order was made by NP not a MD. They should have known. No follow up on my blood work. Puzzling.
I have been a patient of South County Internal Medicine for close to 20 years. Since Village Medical have taking control of the services, the service has declined to the point whereas the service is life threaten. I cannot get my prescription's refilled; I cannot get in to see a doctor on a timely basis, and the receptionist has lied saying they would have someone get back to me. Seriously, people are going to die due to Village Medical horrendus patient support.
I arrived at 8:20 for an 8:30 a.m. appointment and the 3 women who run the front desk are behind the frosted glass and I can hear them laughing and enjoying a convo while I stand there waiting for them to assist me. One of them finally comes out through a side door and says "please come in." I go to a counter and there is an empty coffee mug that says "I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT MY FACE DOES WHILE YOU ARE SPEAKING TO ME." In a doctor's office. I complained to my nurse practitioner about this but the offensive mug was never removed. And let's speak about the nurse practitioner ... he refilled a prescription for me. The original directions said "take one or two tablets daily." The refill says "take one daily." Not once did I get to see a doctor - despite asking to see one.
I can't see my doctor when I feel sick. The wait time to see him is more than two weeks from the date I called.
If you go during the less busy hours, around 9am to 12pm, the wait is barely an issue. Very helpful staff who tested me for a few things to help find out what I was sick with (acute bronchitis), and prescribed me with medication to help combat the sickness. Was quick and professional, glad I went when I did!
Was very impressed with this place. Very personable, very caring. I was in and out in under 45 minutes.
I have not been here for a while now but when I was a patient, the care was wonderful. I appreciate the staff.
Just a heads up to everyone. This is no longer Ocean State Urgent Care. They are now Village Medical they are thieves. The doctors and nurses are caring and respectful but the billing department definitely are not. I was charged twice and I have been fighting with them since July to get refunded what is owed to me. I even got my bank involved and they are getting argued with as well. Just because of the billing department, go somewhere else for medical treatment. I'm sorry to the drs and nurses but you may want to find another employer.
I’m traveling from Ohio and needed medical care per my doctors recommendation. I found this Urgent Care was near my hotel. I received prompt, courteous and professional care from the moment I walked in until I left. I was in and out with a confirmed diagnosis and prescription called to local pharmacy with 45 minutes! This was my first ever urgent care visit and I was totally prepared for a long wait and maybe not professional care, I was pleasantly surprised!
My husband and I took our granddaughter there for an earache. At first we felt like this was the wrong place to be . After awhile, I can see and understand the situation. The nurse who took us to the room was a God sent. She kept my granddaughter at ease and relaxed. She was funny, polite, and caring. She is visiting us from another State, so she really needed that little bit of love. Thank you

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
