I have been a patient of Dr. Kirk for over 5 years. He is a kind and caring gentleman. He takes time to explain and answers all questions and listens to patient concerns. I have had several cardioversions and an ablation done by Dr. Kirk, he is competent, capable and an outstanding practitioner. I am a critical care nurse and have been very pleased with the care rendered on my behalf by Dr. Kirk and the caring of his office staff. You might occasionally wait in the office, he does have emergencies, but when he sees you, he provides all the time needed.

I have been seeing Dr. Kirk for several years. He is a gentleman who seemingly works 7 days a week. I have received calls from the doctor to check up on me even on a Saturday or Sunday. His specialty is electrophysiology. He has privileges at Rhode Island Hospital where he has the use of a special lab where he can work on your heart to correct various types of arrhythmia-especially Afib and PVC. I have successfully discontinued the use of very problematic anti-arrhythmia medication under his care.

Be prepared to wait.

I have been a patient of Dr Kirk's for approximately 5 years. He is thorough and takes time to explain all procedures and option. I have been very pleased with the care he and his staff have provided.

Doctor Kirk is never on time. I've been coming now for around 9 months and he has never once been within a half hour of my scheduled time. Others patients as well have this issue and he continues to over book and double book as I just witnessed today. As much as he is a nice guy, it doesn't make up for his lack of caring about others time that they spend waiting on him. Not recommended Edit: And after finishing today's visit, I waited over 2 hours for him to come see me

Dr. Kirk is very caring and understanding. Taking the time to explain and go over EVERY step of the AFIB surgery. He even has called me to find out how I am doing. He knows his stuff. Highly recommended.

My mother was rushed to the hospital where Dr. Kirk gave her a pace maker. She had a total heart block, a heart rate of 38 with blood pressure off the charts. Prior to the procedure he described what he planned to do in detailed. She has no bruising. He is precise and has an excellent team. My mother is an energetic 98 who takes no meds.

Excellent Doctor. Well known in his field. Extremely concerned for his patients. I know, I'm one of them. His level of expertise on cardiac procedures and events is top notch. He is dedicated to his profession, a true gentleman, and a very humble human being. After a heart procedure with him he was going on vacation. He called in the middle of it to let me know I wasn't alone and to call him if there was a problem. What Doctor does that nowadays? He's as genuine as they come.

I would highly recommend Doctor Kirk. He always takes the time to talk with me. He even reads and responds to e-mail which I find to be exceptional. Unfortunately, my cardiologist waited far too long to refer me to Dr. Kirk. But soon after the initial consultation, he developed a plan that resulted in a reduction and finally the elimination of my atrial fribulation (AF).
