Did Achilles tendon surgery, disappeared and4 years later I still can't walk. Never should have done the surgery if he wasn't going to be around to follow through. Stay far, far away from Dr. Handley

Dr Handley did surgery on my Achilles Tendon in May of 2017. At my 3rd appt. I told him I had no feeling in my foot and he seemed concerned but told me to wait until the next appt. By then, he had disappeared from the practice and a year later my foot is still swollen, numb and I cannot walk . Would definitely not recommend Dr Handley. Physical therapy should have been started at 6 weeks, staff didn't follow through and by the time my primary ordered it , it was 16 weeks. Too late to help.

Dr. Handley did surgery on my Achilles tendon in May of 2017 in Bradenton, FL. I reported no feeling in my foot after surgery, he looked concerned but disappeared and a year later I still have a swollen and numb foot and cannot walk. Stay away from Dr Handley!!!!!

I saw Dr Handley for a broken 5th metatarsal of my foot. Because of my disability and poor balance, this is the 2nd time I broke my foot. Previously I have a history of being a poor bone healer, even at a young age. When I relayed this to Dr Handley he dismissed me and said to the nurse outside my door "She just wants a Bone Stimulator." So I left and went to a good Podiatrist in town. He listened, reviewed my medial records, and prescribed a Bone Stimulator. My foot healed perfectly in a short period of time. I will always be thankful that I didn't settle for inferior treatment by Dr Handley.

I had a terrible experience treating with Dr Handley. After six months of treatment and two surgical procedures he couldn't wait to pass me off to another podiatrist/wound care center when everything he tried just made things worse.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Handley. I had a foot that was really messed up, quite a challenge. Due to his skills and perfectionism, I have a normal, straight foot now plus straight toes too. He's a pleasure to work with - does not over-promise, is easy-going and humorous. I could not have hoped for a better foot surgeon! The staff was terrific, thorough and nice. Great and effective physical therapy too. The place is very busy and now I understand just why that is.
