List of Alexander Robertson's Reviews
I made a appointment with Dr. Robertson. I could not be more satisfied. He conducted a thorough exam and came up with a game plan to address my issue. I would recommend Dr. Robertson to anyone!
He is a compassionate understanding doctor . He takes time with you and listens to you. I have been with him for 8yrs , have had 2 surgeries on my back .
I had heard good things about Dr. Robertson so I decided to let him do my surgery. I thought maybe I would meet him at some point - but it wasn't until 15 mins before my surgery that I actually did. This was disappointing. I was only assigned his assistant, who was nice - but they run their practice more on a business than caring for patients. I felt like another customer in a line at the deli - get your surgery, go to your two follow ups and then you're out. Move on to someone else if you're in pain, we are done with you. They then referred me to a pain management doctor and when I looked him up there was a disciplinary action against him for operating on the wrong site. No thank you. I will take my "business" somewhere else from now on. Disappointing.
Dr. Robertson is an experienced physician who made me feel at ease. Recently, I underwent a Laminectomy. Dr. Robertson was patient, understanding of our concerns, he kept me and my family informed and treated us with grace and respect. I’m very grateful the surgery was a success and I’m healing. I believe Dr. Robertson is one of the best physicians in the country. Thank you, Juan Rodriguez
Saved my life Wonderful ,kind, listens, gifted hands He performed several surgeries on me and all were very successful
He seemed nice and concerned upfront. He did my back surgery. It was a spinal fusion. I continue to have pain after the spinal fusion. They were more concerned about the fact that I wasn’t coming off the pain medication then they were concerned about the fact that I was still having pain and figuring out the reason why. He was not good about referring me to other ways to get rid of the pain like injections or any other way. And even a year or two later when I came back to them and I was having pain and numbness. And the numbness was increasing. His answer was still just his surgery site was stable but I’m still under 50 and maybe my pain would bounce back. And as my legs were still continuing to numb I went to see another surgeon in the same practice a chief surgeon there who told me I should’ve had a second surgery like a year or two before that. Because the first surgery did not go that well. I feel that even when he couldn’t help me he also did not refer me to another doctor.
Dr Robertson was the second orthopedist I visited with in RI. While the prior physician spent more time checking his Rolex out and discussing surgery right away. When I expressed preference to avoid surgery he lost interest. Dr Robertson exhausted alternatives before surgery. He takes time to explain the condition and alternatives. A year later I will be having surgery with him due to degeneration occurred in a year. He has excellent bed side manners and his staff is very professional.
Good Doctor. Won't hurry to do surgery, prefers to try conventional methods first. Very personable. Saw him twice and would recommend him to others.
I wouldn't recommend him to anyone. Pre-surgery he seems vested. But, if you aren't a success story, he isn't interested. Evidently severe pain and chronic pain are ok for his patients and that they should expect setbacks for 5-7 years after surgery. He is pompous, condescending, and arrogant. Also, search him online and you'll see that he was also written up for acting the same way towards medical staff. Go elsewhere.
Dr. Robertson and staff are super. He has performed two back surgeries on me which were successful. Healing takes time and Rome wasn't built in a day so one must be patient,(no pun intended!).

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
