First visit I was told I was obese, and I have thyroid disease. I am only 20 pounds overweight. I told him that I was concerned about an issue I was having and he told me that he would examine me. I told him NEVER, that he was not an OBGYN!!! Because I would not let him examine me he refused to send me for lab work. I had to wait 6 months to find out that now I have a bigger issue which he has caused me. If there was an option for no star, he would deserve that.
This guy needs to be avoided. 1)He is a drug pusher 2) when he is on call apparently he doesn't like to do his job on the weekend and complains to the patient that was told to page him. 3) He is a covid denier 4) Rude
I couldn't see my normal doctor so I had to book with him. He's very rude when you first meet him. Pretty much talks down to you like he's your father. He myswell retire because no new patient wants to be belittled the first time their meeting a doctor. Found it uncomfortable to even share why I was going there in the first place.
I called my Dr’s office today and received a call back from this on call Dr and I use this term loosely. He was most concerned that i called on a Saturday afternoon. I was having symptoms that I thought were allergies symptoms but woke up today after taking Sudafed and i was still felling poor so i was questing maybe a sinus infection. He asked if i thought i had Covid and I said no I haven’t gone anywhere in 5 weeks and he had the nerve to say “ why that’s curious, as people 50 and under at at low risk” and I further explained that I have an asthmatic daughter so i’m not taking any risks during this PANDEMIC. He said very rudely if i thought i had a sinus infection I could go to urgent care. I explained that that’s why i called my dr office to talk out the symptoms. He replied that i was inconsiderate for calling on a Saturday afternoon. I am furious! I have NEVER been treated this way by a so called Dr and especially during a sensitive time such as we are in now. I am leaving this practice immediately!!
This doctor is by far the worst doctor I have ever seen. He is arrogant, rude and condescending. I wouldn’t see this doctor if he was the last doctor in Rhode Island.
Dr Caparoso is an outstanding Physician who is thorough and compassionate.
Excellent very smart compassionate Physician Always trying new ways to improve the quality of life Example. Hospitial bed catheters Phenomenal bedside manner and Always gives tremendous time He is really a top notch physician
I started as a patient of his when he worked out of oyster bay and there I didnt have any complaints. Now in glen cove, the staff at the office doesn't call you back on a timely manner, and he never calls you back. If your sick, you have to wait and see if he shows up for the day which is what I was told. I can't believe when your sick, you can't count on your doctor to be available on a normal working day during normal working hours.
Dr. Caporaso read my file before seeing me, and I don't have much of a problem with that, but I was in for a tick bite and just needed antibiotics. Dr. Caporaso continued to talk to me about some sensitive issues in my file, that I never once talked to him about before, and this made me very uncomfortable. I guess if you have a clean slate, he'd be an adequate doctor, but if you have a skeleton in the closet, plan on talking to this guy about it.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
