David Kroessler's Online Review Report Card

I first knew Dr. Kroessler when he took care of my mother at the end of her life. He helped me know what to do for her and I found him to be a caring doctor then. I struggle with depression and when my medication stopped working I felt hopeless. The physical heaviness was overwhelming. I called Dr. Kroessler and he started me on a new medication right away. I saw that he was very knowledgeable, understood my condition and my concerns. He was calming and eased my mind. I found him very easy to talk to. He also encouraged me to call him anytime I needed. I felt his strong support right away. During our visits he has always listened and answered my questions and addressed my concerns in a honest and helpful way. We have never ended a discussion where he hasn't given me helpful suggestions, been re-assuring and has encouraged me to move forward. Knowing someone who genuinely cares and tries to help is in-valuable. I would not be in a better place today if it wasn't for Dr. Kroessler. I value him as a doctor and I am very grateful for all he has done.

Excellent Dr. Kroessler has been extremely helpful to my husband for his severe anxiety. He keeps in touch with him regularly and always follows up to see if he needs an RX refill.

After trying to reach him for over a week, he advised me to completely and immediately stop taking a med that I'd been on for years. I told him that I felt terrible even after missing one dose. He insisted that it didn't need to be tapered, so I stopped. I ended up in the ER with severe withdrawal that required an overnight stay and constant monitoring.

PATIENTS BEWARE!!!!! Apparently, I’m not alone (see comments) in feeling like this guy is an embarrassment for all doctors. This guy doesn’t listen to you at all. I only had two appointments with him, but after the first 10 minutes that I talked to him, he apparently knew better than all the doctors before him. I was on a medication for 15 YEARS and he tried to immediately take me off of it. He wanted to replace it with something that I’ve already tried and is ineffective. He actually wrote me a script for a medication that I told him I could very well be allergic to. He will not see you as an individual, you’re just one of many and regardless of what your problems are he absolutely will not do anything to suit your individual needs. He is rude and condescending. I asked him what type of medication he was suggesting I try. He told me, “it’s an alpha blocker, that doesn’t mean anything to you.” Like excuse you, I asked what type of medication it was didn’t I? And you’re going to TELL me that I don’t understand. This guy is a disgrace. DO NOT SEE THIS MAN FOR MEDICATION. In fact, don’t see him for any reason. I’d give him a negative rating if I could.

Prescribed me all kinds of medicine that made me sick didn't care about interactions or any of my concerns he is literally dangerous

Most helpful dr. In all of rhode island. Due to covid I had an extremely tough time finding a Dr who actually listens and treats his patient beyond just prescriptions. As a father of 2 with mental health issues dr kroessler was a life saver

Great Doctor. Helped me with my addition. Now I'm free and clean from Suboxone. Feeling good. One month down.

I’ve just finished my fourth appt. with Dr. Kroessler. I’ve suffered from what I thought were horrible panic attacks for 11 years. After all these years I’m finally off my Xanax which I never thought was possible! I find him very helpful and he thinks outside of the box! If you want a Dr. to help you , you must be forthright and disclose everything. He always listens and answers all my questions! Don’t hesitate best choice I’ve made in years!
