I feel that Dr Cohen is the best choice possible for hip replacement. Dr Cohen replaced both of my hips, 5 weeks apart this summer. He is absolutely phenomenal! He is very personable, pleasant and professional and never rushed. My results are perfect, and the recovery was so quick.I was back in the gym in 2 weeks, and they feel like my own natural, normal, but healthy hips with no pain at all! I feel so lucky to have found him. His entire office and surgical teams are also outstanding. I would recommend him 100 percent!

The best orthopedic facility in Rhode Island!! Dr. Cohen and his staff are TOP NOTCH!!! My hip replacement was a breeze!!! I can’t say enough about how easy the whole procedure from start to finish was made by them!!! I have and will continue to recommend Dr. Cohen and University Orthopedics to everyone!!

Dr. Cohen is exemplary. I have several relatives and friends who are physicians and others who are in the medical field. I was searching for an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in direct anterior hip replacement (posterior hip replacement gives the same outcome, but has a longer recovery time) and two of them recommended Dr. Cohen when I needed a right hip replacement. Dr. Cohen is the most knowledgable, competent, compassionate surgeon! He actually said to me, "I'll never tell a patient WHEN to have surgery. It's totally up to you,." That's the surgeon I wanted! I immediately booked with him! He suggested outpatient surgery at Kettle Point facility, but I wasn't comfortable with that so he suggested Miriam Hospital. His team, including his nurses, nurse practitioner, anesthesiologist and staff are exemplary! Office visits and x-rays are punctual. He takes time so the patient can ask him any questions, which he answers fully. I'm only 2 weeks post-op and I'm only using a cane when I go outside. Miriam Hospital nurses and PT staff were the best! I can honestly say I had an exemplary experiences from my first visit with Dr. Cohen until now! I highly recommend Dr. Cohen !!!

This guy is amazing. He has a bit of a god complex, but it is almost warranted. *almost* as there is only one god. ;) He is professional and cutting edge. Playing soccer and basketball 3-4 days per week will catch up with anyone. It finally did when I reached 50. Dr. Cohen made no promises in returning to competitive (impact) sports. Yet one year out, here I am. No this is not an invitation to start your UFC career at 50. I'm just telling you that you will not be disappointed. This guy and the surgery were life changing for me. Do your core rehab, hips, legs and you will be ready to go in one year out.
