DR.Alice Bonitati has been my doctor 20 yrs. Or more .She is the best.The only doctor I know from experience that Allways fixed what was wrong with me.i totally trust her completely.She is a very Smart educated doctor for lung diease and sleep And medicine.She has saved my live several times.no words can express my gratitude toward her She is honest ,caring,I wouldn't trade her for the world.Their office moved to a beauitfull new better bldg.i fealt bad because I thought I would have to find another doctor but I am glad so far I have found rides to get their .If you ever need a professional for lungs ,sleep and ,Asma she is the one.I love my doctor she really cares and knows what she is doing iam a very complicated person when it comes to my health.if I could give her a billion stars I would.Thats my doctor Alice Bonitati

wonderful doctor wonderful bedside manner; makes you wait too long!!

Dr. Bonitati is the sleep specialist for my elderly mother, who is 88 years old. She explains things fully, and unlike many doctors, listens to her patients. A previous doctor interpreted results of a sleep study mom had completed to diagnose Moderate Sleep Apnea and insisted she needed to start wearing the apnea mask for sleep at night. He push aside my suggestions to explore alternate therapies and was not open to other options. I brought her to Dr. Bonitati, whom interpreted my mother's sleep study as containing too little data (mom had slept very little during the night of the study) for her to make the same Moderate Apnea diagnoses. She suggested changing the way my mother was aligned while sleeping, and recommended a sleep specialist program to deal with insomnia, a co-existing condition the other doctor had not even considered. Dr. Bonitati was able to make that determination because unlike the previous doctor, she talked AND LISTENED to her patient. The sleep program taught my mother and I how to maintain good sleep hygiene, and the realignment using pillows helped her sleep better. Dr. Bonitati also talks directly to my mom instead of to me, her caregiver, yet I never feel excluded from the discussions. On mom's first visit Doctor Bonitati told her directly it was her decision whether to try any therapies - making sure that I was not: a) Speaking for my mother b) Pushing my mom into trying something because I thought she should Doctor Bonitati's staff at the Governor Street location is a bit friendlier and more easy going than those at the APC location. The parking at Governor Street is much, much simpler (and no cost/validation needed, unlike the APC location) to get in and out of, and for my mother to walk, even with her arthritis. (The APC building does have front door drop-off valet service for handicapped/elderly patients). A first rate doctor and person.
