List of Erica Brown's Reviews
Very bad and rued service and made us wait over an hour even tho we had an appointment!
absolutely impossible to make an appointment with endocrinologist dept.. They are unwilling to request medical records from dr.. When went to hospital to have records faxed they stated they never do this the dr’s office always requests them. I had faxed and dropped them off they stated they didn’t receive them offered to sign request so they could get medical records they refused to do this.. Absolutely ridiculous, Hospital referred them and i don’t know why… Worst customer service.. Wish they said in. beginning that we are not gonna help you or take two mins out of there day to try… Be prepared for no help at all.. This review won’t bother them.. They could care less about helping someone imagine if that was their job but wait it is… Couldnt give negative stars David Meunier
You have to wait at least 20 minutes to get ahold of anyone. The person who answered my call was very unhelpful and quite rude, just trying to shuffle me off the phone. I get that you are busy but I am not getting clear answers. My basic questions seem to annoy her. This is my medication for my mental health that I have not been able to get refilled due to a mistake made by the doctor, not me. I am still unclear as to how I am going to get this resolved. I have had issues like this for years now, I can’t take it any more, I will be looking for a new primary care center. I am shocked at the process for treatment. It must be extremely difficult for any other patients especially older folks.
The office is so short staffed that my drs office faxed over a referral 3 weeks ago and the office still cant confirm they recieved it. They said they have a large stack of referrals and it's going to take 3 weeks to go through them. I can't even fathom how that is possible. I need a biopsy to rule out lymphoma, this is an unacceptable answer to give patients. I will be looking Into other pulminologist and I suggest anyone reading this review should too. It's not comforting when you're going through such a scary health concern to get an answer stating we have a stack of referrals and it's taking us 3 weeks to confirm you're in the stack. It's a very helpless and worrisome feeling to have that you are that lost in the shuffle and it could be life or death to you, but you're a sheet in a stack of papers to them that the doctors don't care enough to properly staff their office to move these through faster. I don't blame the staff I blame the the CEO and head doctors they need to have adequate staffing so they can address serious potential life or death situations for their patients in an acceptable and timely fashion. This is completely unacceptable!!!!!
I have been going to Brown Medical for years and never had any problems with seeing my PCP or GI doctors, best place to go in Rhode Island
Had an awful experience with the Primary care front desk. Was calling for an emergency perception on my inhaler. She was rude and condescending the entire time. Would not recommend going there if you except care and compassion from staff.
Management is poor. They are consistently understaffed. Turnover is high. On my third or fourth md. Current one is ok, and Cindy, the referral co-ordinator is great. Same day appointments are available, unless you pass away while waiting for the few staff they have to answer the phone.
I wish I had started a log of the amount of my time wasted sitting in a Dr.'s waiting room. Not the appointment, but literally wasting my time waiting. I show up on time then sit for at least 30 minutes. The you sit in the room waiting longer. But if I was 10 minutes late they would cancel my appointment and charge me! They never apologize or even acknowledge they wasted my time. It is ridiculous. Waiting 10 min? Ok. 30,40,60 minutes? Ridiculous. And it is every time!
Waited months for my first physical with a doctor at this practice, then had to reschedule. After spending 20 minutes (!) on hold, someone picked up and transferred me to another line, which dumped me off into a voicemail with a robot voice and no name or info. I'm pretty sure but not positive I was able to cancel the appointment. Because of this, I decided not to reschedule and instead find a different doctor.
If I could give negative stars I would. My wife made a appointment (due to covid restrictions we had to wait outside, fine) they then called her in for a swab for strep throat and white spots I saw on her throat was a clear indicator. After swab was told to wait outside for results as they would call within 15-20 minutes. After 50 minutes in car outside with 9 month old in backseat and needing dinner we called and they had closed. Never again! I'll be on the phone with insurance company fighting the charge tomorrow. Clowns using Browns name as a back drop. Another full night with antibiotics for my wife.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
