It’s only a complete shame when living in a small State (The smallest in our country) when you see the commitment Dr’s have to one another, rather then their patient and families. Our child was over medicated years ago by a Dr. Savitsky (Spelling?) out of then South Shore in Wakefield. Our childs school first picked up on it. And even after having our baby sent to Bradley Hospital to ween off those meds just to start another, Tarnoff was the only one to disagree our child was over medicated by his long time “Colleague and friend”- Savitsky. And because of how he wrote up his report in defense of his long time Pal, our kid suffered with more meds and treatment and DX.. Yet once we brought all this to the attention to of an Attorney, South Shore was closed indefinitely and Savitsky was still allowed to be employed under Lifespan (were not the first family to make this EXACT complaint about this specific Dr). I’m more then sure Dr. Tarnoff will see this. And I’ll never see the response to it if any. After all, he must be around retirement and our case was an old one, so I, and we as a family expect exactly what our child got- the back burner, The eye roll, the shrug, the “Well..” with no words after, just the look of “Dont know what to tell ya.” Do your research before sending your child to anyone. It’s probably my only regret in life. I hope these Dr’s families don’t ever face the unforgiving experiences they offered us.
I have been his patient for several years. Throughout my time as a patient of Dr. Tarnoff, I can admit I did not agree with some of the things he believes but even so, he is a doctor who has been in the field for quite some time and knows what he is doing. I noticed that another comment claims that Dr. Tarnoff misdiagnosed them with several things. If you don't agree with something he diagnosed you with, go for a reevaluation. He has not diagnosed me with anything that I do not agree with. A+
He makes my life bad, avoid him. Im wrongly accused of "being mentally ill"
My experience with him, to put it, is terrible. I was prescribed anti depressants for my constant thoughts of suicide, they didn't work, he told me I'd be put in a insane asylum, I had enough and promptly switched doctors, sooo bye bye Tarnoff.
We had a few troubles with Gerald as in, making up lies of daughter having asperger's. but she only has ADD, and Gerald made us pay for pills. My daughter, was getting very sick, taking then we had to made her stop taking then. we had to find a better doctor. and are new doctor told us she had ADD. find a new doctor
lied to me and my son where going to have to find a better doctor
claims I have Tourette's, bipolar, autism and adhd, when really I don't, forced me to go, in the end it traumatized me and gave me ptsd. I'm gonna end myself any day now
This waste of oxygen gave me PTSD, he put me in several mental programs because I'm apparently mentally ill and autistic, which I'm not. Avoid this garbage doctor.
Absolute scuÂ?mbag, a scÂ?umbag that puts kids into solitaire and wrongly accuses people of having disorders, also the "hospital" he works at is garbage and a hÂ?ell of its own, iron bars with spikes capable of puncturing your skin cover windows, staff that don't view as a human and instead a mindless rat.
He is wonderful, a very good doctor, so glad we have him :)

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
