I had a wonderful experience at this doctor's office from the beginning. It's a busy office, but they see patients quickly and you don't have to wait too long for your appointment. The front office staff and nurses are very patient, kind and helpful. They prepared me well for my minor eye surgery (with pre- and post-op instructions). Both doctors are wonderful, very skilled people and I trust them both with my eyes. I was nervous to have eye surgery, but everyone here made it as comfortable as possible. 5 stars!

I've been reluctant to write this review. I was hoping that the issue just had to do with Mike at the front desk and not with the doctors. I've been hoping Dr. Alice would return my call and explain that there was a misunderstanding or something. However, after today's office visit, reading the other reviews about being hung up on, calls not returned, and arbitrary billing, I just have to speak up.A little over one year ago, I had an orbital decompression surgery. The doctors overcorrected the sutures on the outside corners of my eyes at that time, but explained why they felt it was necessary to do so. While the results were indeed odd looking and troubling, the doctors were diligent to conservatively fix it in stages. When it was at a stage to where it didn't look strange, we agreed that it would be best to reevaluate in one year post-op to see how everything had settled.I came in three weeks ago from today and had my appointment with Trudy and Dr. Alice. They were kind, compassionate, and competent just as they always are. Since my eyes remain somewhat rounded and webbed in the corners, eyelashes are starting to grow in. The doctor asked Trudy to schedule me to come in to have the minor in-office procedure to correct it. (Just a simple 2 mm incision to the corner of each eyelid). Trudy scheduled my appointment and phoned in a steroid antibiotic ointment for me to pick up ahead of time.When I came back for my appointment, I was told that I needed to pay $2000 because I have a deductible of $5500. I said I was confused because the last time I came in for the same procedure, I was charged $314.51 after the insurance paid their portion. The price should be the same because none of my deductible had been met at that time either (Feb 2021). I showed Neil my bill, which I had with me since I had just paid it the last time I was in. (I had finished paying it the previous appointment because I needed clarification because the wrong code had been charged and I wasn't sure what I was paying for.) Neil seemed confused too and said he really wasn't sure why the difference and that he was just doing what Mike had told him. Neil said perhaps my bill was just for one eye. I assured him it had been two eyes and also pointed out that even if the amount were doubled, it would still be less than a third of what they were currently charging me! He then came back again and said it was a bundled price, but couldn't tell me how or what it was bundled with. Mike then came out of the office behind the front desk and rudely told me "Why don't you go somewhere else. You know, we can refer you out." I handed over my credit card to Neil and sat down. I felt bullied and desperate. A few minutes later Mike came out, handed me my credit card and told me that I was being referred out and would not be seen. Totally confused, I asked Neil if I could speak with Dr. Alice. He said Dr. Alice was in surgery and that Dr. Julia was the doctor in. Neil seemed genuinely sorry about the way I was being treated and offered to take my cell and make sure that he told Dr. Alice that I was turned away and to ask her to call me.I have called several times daily since then and have been hung up on and left on hold for over 45 minutes. I have left messages on the voicemail and on the doctor's paging number. I have not received a call back or explanation. I came in today and asked to see Dr. Alice. Mike said no, you do not have an appointment. I told him that he had turned me away without explanation, and hung up on me and left me on hold each time I had tried calling. I then asked if Dr. Alice knows what happened last Monday and that I'm trying to get ahold of her. He laughed and said "She knows you have been calling." I don't know what happened between my last appointment and now. Why would she schedule my procedure and ask Trudy to phone in a prescription if she had no intention of keeping the appointment or me as a patient? I'm really not even sure if Mike is telling the truth, but I have to think she's at least gotten my messages on the paging phone number.

I am so disgusted with this office and it's staff! I had an appt for this morning so I left a message yesterday morning for them to call me back! They did not return the call. I called office again, tried 4x's till someone picked up who was laughing than said hold on and hung up on me. I called 3x again and another gentlemen answered and he had no apology nor care about anything I had to say! He also disconnected me &I had to call back to finally get a new appt. This is not a professional office staff and this is not the way to build up a Dr or it's reputation!!! I am extremely disappointed and will continue to leave negative reviews until the problem is addressed!!!!!!

Very bad service for my moms eye surgery. After the surgery my mom got an infection and did not advice correctly about the antibiotics. My moms eye was extremely swollen and in pain for weeks. Not professional the Song doctors and the staff. Would not recommend to anyone!

There are no words for me to describe my gratitude to Drs. Julia and Alice Song, Mike, and the wonderful staff. They have been our family opthamologists for years. (I reviewed another of their locations at a prior visit; 5 stars, of course.) They have helped our kids and their grandparents at various emergencies. Today we had another urgent visit--in the midst of the pandemic, my son accidentally hurt himself and needed stitches close to his eye. Our pediatrician recommended that we go to an opthamologist and we realized ours are highly qualified and specialized surgeons too...Of course they knew exactly what to do. They are always so kind and calm and just have such a generous spirit of service--they were meant to be doctors from day one. They are brilliant but humble. Also no matter how bad one's day is going, you cannot stay down around Mike, who is always so positive, uplifting, and helpful. 1000 stars for this great medical group and staff.

Dr Julia Song is amazing. She's so nice and helpful. I went in with an appointment and had to wait no more than 10 min. Super informative and she seems to care about her patients and their eye health.

I went through many doctors who couldn't locate the issue or almost threatened me to engage in unnecessary treatment until I've met Dr. Julia Song. I like Dr. Song because she thinks in patients' shoes thoughtfully but can stay professional and cool-headed at the same time. I like her way to patiently monitor the issue to tailor what's needed at the very minimally appropriate level. Also, over years, I got to know that she has helped countless mishaps and unfortunate people by freely servicing them in many places all over the world. I respect her for her heart as well as professionalism.
