If I could give this place zero stars I would. Trying to get someone on the phone is absolutely terrible, if it’s not the phones being down it’s holding for 15 minutes to have someone answer and say “please hold!” Then because we live in COVID times I can’t go into the office for an earache (not a Covid symptom) and they’d rather do a telehealth. Not sure how you’ll look into my ears over the phone but this place is terrible in every way. I’m currently in search of a new and hopefully better primary care physician. I have not had any good experiences here.
This place is so unorganized, it's a wonder they're able to keep track of the medical records of those they treat.I started as a new patient here in 2018 until 2019 and between that time I had 3 different doctors, and at one point a nurse practitioner. When I failed to appear for an appointment, in 2020 during the pandemic surge, (an appointment they scheduled for me, with a new doctor that I did not know, since the one I had previously seen was no longer with the practice, mind), I was told i was unable to reschedule it, because of my no-show and that their Manager would not allow no-shows a reschedule.I never miss my appointments. This was a one-off and I was not advised of it, either by mail or phone. Not to mention, it was during the peak of the pandemic - people were generally staying put.I was made to feel as if I was a child who did something wrong. When I asked if I could book with another location, or speak to the Manager, (yes, I went there), the person at reception was utterly unhelpful, as has always been the case.If the constant turnaround of doctors in this place, is any indication of the care you'll receive, I'd avoid it like the plague.(One star, because I am unable to give it zero!)
Eceptional. I have been going to Brown Medicine for 12 years. I have been treated exceptionally well by all, PCP, gastrointestinal, nephrology, genocoloy, etc. The staff are friendly and professional and accomdating.
Positives: pulmonologist was excellent, and it's convenient that they can do blood work on site.Negatives: Medical staff is terribly organized and horrible to deal with on the phone. My referring doctor had to repeatedly fax the same paperwork to them because they kept saying they didn't have it. I finally mailed them a copy myself, and they said they didn't receive that either. Had to call them repeatedly (20 mins on hold each time) to schedule a followup consult because they kept giving me the wrong instructions. Called the office supervisor to voice my frustration and concerns, never got a call back.
I just called to try to make an appt as a new patient on iv meds every six wks.. The woman who answered was rude, didn't know the procedure.. And hung up on me before ending the call.. Terrible customer service. I will find another doc.
It’s the best care I’ve had !!!
Brown Medicine is huge & I only know a tiny portion of it centered on my primary care physician and her staff. Dr. Carolynn Nassar is my primary and I have several years experience with her – all positive. In those years Brown/Nassar have responded promptly to my appointment requests, quickly arranged referrals, personally communicated results and answered questions with patience such that I understood and had comfort with the process.Medicine is a mess in America with predatory insurance companies, endless government regulations, lawsuit happy attorneys and the rise of massive medical organizations depersonalizing care.Thankfully my individual experience with Brown Medicine/Dr. Nassar is much more personal. I feel cared for versus bulk-processed which I am grateful for. Per my experience I would recommend and wish you the same.
Did not like and will not be returning
My experiences with Brown Medicine are primarily with primary care (Dr. Oghene specifically) and with testing which is located on the first/ground floor. My experiences with both are always positive ones with very friendly and understanding assistants and front desk individuals. Additionally, Dr. Oghene is a doctor who is someone that genuinely cares about you and wants the best for you. We always have good conversation, he is very informative and knowledgeable, and someone who I feel like I can reach out to for questions or concerns and never makes me feel like I'm being a bother. Would highly recommend this facility and Dr. Oghene.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
