List of Tesfaye Meren's Reviews
Saw this physician for a year or two. He never seemed to care about anything I would report to him. Severe migraines and spinal stenosis are my major problems until I developed insomnia after the pandemic (healthcare worker). His response was “but you’re young and healthy so you’re fine”. Asked for something to help me sleep besides otc melatonin and Benadryl and he said no, that it was a “psych” issue and that I needed to work it out with a psychiatrist. I don’t know how some people pass their boards and are allowed to take care of people.
I’ve been a patient of Dr. Meren’s for many years. He’s very patient, extremely thorough, and infinitely kind.
Dr. Meren has been my PCP for many years now, he is a caring good natured doctor that really has his patients best interest at heart. He was my late father's PCP that had MANY medical issues while wheel chair bound, it was not uncommon for Dr. Meren to call and check up and see if there was anything he could do for my dad after a hospital/E.R visit. Coastal Medical is a 10/10 medical provider.
Dr. Meren is a caring considerate physician and take pride in helping his patients live their best life.
I had this doctor a few years ago. I would visit him when my back pain would flare up. He was very unprofessional and dismissed my back pain issues and yelled at me and asked what I wanted him to do about it. I made a complaint to coastal medical about how he treated and spoke to me. I never heard back from them. I went on to visit another doctor who had me go to the image institute and found I had bulging, herniated and deteriorating disks. This doctor should have his license revoked. The hypocritical oath means nothing to him
I don't feel as if he is educated enough and needs to do a more thorough exam of his patients needs. You have to ask him what test to perform instead of the other way around. Would strongly advise anyone looking for a PCP and a good yearly checkup to search other physicians in area. (Sorry not this one)...
Great Doctor. Cares about your concerns and listens well. Always goes the extra mile to "problem solve". Barely a wait time and has a great staff.
Thorough and efficient, reviews all past findings and does not overlook areas of concern. minimal wait time too!
Dr. meren is not up-to-date on medical conditions. He disregards his patient's symptoms and test results. We should sue him for malpractice but the thought of going through that process is stres-inducing. Stay far far away from this so-called doctor. I do not trust his knowledge. He does not explain anything. He is not well educated on certain documented diagnoses.
Quite possibly the worst Doctor I've ever had the misfortune of seeing. Had to make an appointment with him, as he was the only Doctor on staff who was seeing new patients (I can see why). When I saw him for the first time, I disclosed to him that I have Asperger's Syndrome. He responded, But you look normal. I have to fight him to have tests administered. He also tends to blame things on hormones. He makes up his mind right off the bat, and doesn't listen to all symptoms. I could go on...

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
