List of MIchael R Heru's Reviews
He was thorough, and his knowledge and love for the patient was overflowing!
Our extended family is beyond grateful to have Dr. Heru as our primary care physician for decades now. His experience, thoroughness and keen understanding of internal medicine are hallmarks of his dedicated medical practice. He goes the extra mile - preventative & proactively - to ensure the optimal health of his patients. Taking extra time with his patients, calling home to check on them and proactive testing are all routine practices. It is obvious that the field of medicine and his patient's health are Dr. Heru's life calling. Our family highly recommends him to yours.
He listens and addresses any issues you may have and tries to get to the root of your health problems. However, the office staff seems overwhelmed. I received detailed notes for another patient on mylifespan. portal. Follow-up calls to get referral info sent over. Poor communication on test results (brain scan). He is a kind caring doctor. But I do not have a lot of confidence in his staff.
Totally lacking transparency. Ordered tests for me that we’re not covered by my insurance, even after I SPECIFICALLY asked whether the tests would be covered. He gave me complete assurance that they would be covered. They were not. Additionally, my initial visit with him was mis-labeled as a follow-up, leading to a lot of confusion between me, the front desk and my insurance company. Dr Heru himself is a very nice guy. Just very misinformed and/or disingenuous as it pertains to treatment costs and what is and isn’t covered by an insurance plan.
Very caring and comprehensive approach. Nice guy
Absolutely horrible. When I asked him a question in Lincoln urgent care, he completely skirted around the question because he didn’t know and started going on a tangent that had nothing to do with why I was there.
Awesome and cares about your health.
Several visits and this doc just pushes your problems and pain issues with referrals to specialists only. He also disregards the past diagnosis and problems people have, especially with chronic pain & only supports NEW referrals to those within his own personal network.Refuses to understand agony & poverty being a wall for many who cannot afford specialists copays a travel toll on sick people. He doesn't even remember what he does & says and uses CDC guidelines as LAW to avoid prescribing.
Takes care of nothing, only refers to his doctor friends specialists...has no compassion and refuses to acknowledge or prescribe for severe chronic painful conditions...doesn't remember or understand that poor people and people with severe pain can't afford total specialist care or bear the travel and energy it takes to follow his recommendations. All he does is push people off onto others while collecting $$$ for office visits. Never calls or makes patients aware of test results for anything he orders. Waste of time, money, energy! His staff is really great, but they have their hands full trying to follow along with his confusing expectations.
I've never seen physician who was so inept,I don't reccommend seeing him.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
