I appreciate the expertise of Dr Abadi In aggressively and expertly finding the answer in my case

I have been seen by Dr. Abadi for close to 11 years now, in his office and at the hospital. I trust him completely. His staff is polite and I never wait more than 5-10 minutes to be seen! My mother-in-law has also been seen by him in the hospital and feels exactly the same. I highly recommend this doctor to anyone seeking a cardiologist. He is extremely knowledgeable and answers all questions and concerns I may have and does not rush you out of the office. Wonderful doctor!!

Dr. Abadi is the best doctor I have ever had, regardless of specialty. I think any patient, regardless of geography, would be hard-pressed to find a better cardiologist. Dr. Abadi is warm, engaging, professional and eminently qualified. He has guided me every step of the way in my heart treatment, using his personal connection to arrange an appointment with an eminent Electro-physiologist. I can not say enough good things about him.

Dr. Abadi is excellent in his bedside manner, expaining the issue, and listening to patient needs. However, his team is horrible. The lady names Katie who answers the phone has an attitude issue. I called regarding a certain test, just wondering when I could expect the results. She replied condescendingly as if I should have known the answer to my question.

Dr. Abadi is fine and the diagnostic staff is wonderful. However, the office staff is permeated with 'attitude'; I asked for a CD of the diagnostic test, and got everything short of rolled eyes. Furthermore, despite two requests, the staff would not tell me what program I needed to open the test. My billing included extra unexplained charges. My insurance company, AARP United Healthcare, found that the doctor’s office charged me as in-network, but other charges were submitted to UH as out of network. When I called the doctors office, the person with whom I spoke told me they are ‘out of network’. When I pursued the issue – but only after I pursued it – she told me that they had been bought out by South Coast last May but not yet ‘credentialled’, and that she would write off the entire bill.

My husband has stage four cancer, and is trying to stay positive in order to fight it, I think that Dr Abadi's approach to treatment left us very flat and doubting our positive attitude and approach - He has a difficult job though, and we appreciate that. The conversation coupled with a 45 minute delay in seeing us was bad enough but on exiting we stopped to speak with his staff to make a follow up appointment and were very disappointed with their attitude. One woman in her mid 20's was abrupt to the point of being rude and rolled her eyes after I reconfirmed the date of an appointment, she has also been very abrupt with me on the phone on previous occasions.I think Dr Abadi is a good doctor, he certainly gives us adequate time and attention etc, but he is let down somewhat by his team.

Dr. Abadi's staff usually courteous and helpful but the office manager St. Theresa is rude and nasty on the telephone. Her bad behavior is upseting to a heart patient. Maybe some anger management classes might help. Does she have a heart???
