List of Adcare Rhode Island's Reviews
As an overall this was one of the best experiences I have had in a rehab and I have had more then most. The staff always tried to be accommodating and the fact that we get are phones and laptops after finishing detox made the stay a lot more comfortable. My case manager set me up with an excellent after care. My counselor help look at inner issues and the TAs were always there when ever I needed anything. A few areas Adcare needs improvement would be with the number of group sessions we do every day. I understand it’s a most for insurance but I feel the time would have been better utilized doing journaling and looking inward rather then reading a packet 6 times a day. Another area that could use some investment would be more gym equipment and maybe more than one set time a day so groups in gym could be smaller. Also the beds and pillows not the most comfortable but all in all this was a very good program and I highly recommended it.
At first when I came in here wasn't really too sure what to expect seeing how it was my first time in a facility like this but after my two weeks here so far it has been a huge help. This program has definitely helped me tremendously and if anyone is in the need of help and has the opportunity to come here I would def suggest it. It hasn't only helped me with my substance abuse problem but made me realize the underlying mental problems that kinda cause me to use. Also the facility is very clean and well managed.
Over the past few weeks that I have been at ADCARE, I have learned a lot about myself and the people around me. I was moved into A - Unit on the 17th of November and was immediately greeted by the T.A., Pamela (absolute sweetheart) and also welcomed in by all of the other patients. Throughout my first two weeks in residential, I grew very close with the group, the nurses, and the T.A.'s. This made it much easier for me to open up and become more comfortable sharing my experience of addiction with others. The Nurse, Justin, was extremely supportive with making sure I was on track with taking my medication and keeping a smile on my face. Megan, my counselor, kept me interested in recovery in and outside of group sessions. Scott, the man himself kept me in line, and was also a huge help in setting up my aftercare program. For the things that need improvement; the food could have been a little better, but then again, you have about 3 people cooking 3 meals a day for over 100 people so I can understand why the chicken was Extra dry sometimes... and lastly... It would've been nice if Maurine would take a chill pill when it comes to policy. There were multiple incidences where I and other patients were woken up at around 12:30AM just to be told that we can't have our door closed. Another issue that I had with her was that she was extremely passive aggressive when telling us that the TV has to be turned off 15 minuets before 11PM. Other than those few, I had a wonderful time here and finally found clarity in life.Thank You!
AdCare Rhode Island is a beautiful, peaceful facility. The staff are so welcoming, friendly, and compassionate. I would absolutely recommend a family member or friend for addiction treatment here.
I had a peaceful and enriching time at Adcare !! The grounds are beautiful ; it must have been a place of some spiritual significance many years ago because the feeling was amazing ! Chipmunks , rabbits , an owl ! Nursing staff best ever ever ever ! Thank you to them all as well as Doc Coburn ! My only gripe ; the food ! The hardworking cafeteria staff does a great job , but they are not given anything to work with . Shame on you AAC for Nickle and diming and presenting an inadequate and well below average dining experience ! But everything else I loved .

Compassionate staff who care wholeheartedly. Thank you. They challenged me to succeed and have set me up for success
My experience with AdCare was fantastic. The took very good care of me when I needed help. The facility was very clean and orderly, and the staff was incredible. They really care about each person that comes to them for help. They are very kind and patient, and there is no judgement. If you are looking for help AdCare is the way to go. Thank you for everything that you did.
Great counselors, very supportive and motivating. Other clients didn’t follow rules which was distracting during groups. I think the counselors need to be a bit more stricter or take the disrupters out of the group setting
The counselors and nurses at Adcare in North Kingstown are amazing, compassionate, down to earth, extremely capable people who do a great job in spite of the shamefully mismanaged institution that employs them.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
