Just seemed uninterested and did not listen. After explaining decades of drug resistant depression he pushed the same stuff on me that made it all so much worse. Awful and irresponsible as a doctor.

Did not listen, just defaulted to meds that never worked for me and exasperated my condition. lazy..

I was not impressed. I have drug resistant depression. He dis not listen to my history and shows his inept skills by tried to keep upping the dosage. Dangerous and irresponsible deaf robot. Certainly not the patient.

I moved up here in April (2025) and I was on some pretty heavy medications for a few things. Even tho my doctor from where I'm from gave me a month, I was struggling finding a psychiatrist that would take me on short notice, especially being cash pay as my insurance doesn't work here. Thankfully, the ladies in the office understood that I was a nervous wreck and starting to spiral. They scheduled me literally for the next day for Dr. Gallo over video call. An hour before my visit, Dr. Gallo called me and said that there was a high likelihood that he wouldn't prescribe me what I needed, as I was on another medication that interfere and I have an addiction problem in my past. I respected that he didn't want to take my money and then be left with nothing. I talked to him, cried and was hones. He then agreed to start a taper process. Over the last few visits, he's been very kind and made sure I'm comfortable with the taper. I was honest with him about struggling and he came up with a good solution. I believe if you are kind and honest with him (doctors in general, i hope) that they will work with you. Just like Dr. Gallo did. I'm beyond grateful to him and the staff for taking care of me when I was at my most panicked and vulnerable from my anxiety and PTSD spiking from my move. So I just wanted to say thank you and you guys have been so kind, caring and made sure I'm okay/stable. Which is all I ever asked for. So much so, I got job and I've finally stopped hiding in my room! 🥹 Thank you~ ❤️ Lauren C

I had a total different experience than the other people that have commented on here. He was the only dr that would help me due to other health problems that I have. He helped when no one else would. He has been a God send

I have been with Dr. Gallo for several years. I am very comfortable talking with him. He listens and always offers very good advice no matter my situation at the time. I have recommended him to family and friends.

I recently parted ways w my former psychiatrist because the person was inept and unprofessional. I found Dr. Gallo to be quite the opposite. He, like me, is direct and to the point. He listened intently to my needs and provided me w the right level of compassion and understaning. I get that some people feel that psychiatric doctors should be all compassion, commiserate with their patients and coddle them. To me, though - while that approach is probably beneficial for some - I think some people need to have a wake up call. Doctor Gallo is the right mix and I was pleasantly surprised when he directly asked me, "What are you hoping for from our time together?" In short, if you are looking for someone who sits there, nods their head, tells you they agree how horribly life has treated you and cries with you, but doesn't serve you otherwise except to milk you for all you're worth, Doctor Gallo is probably not the right fit for you. On the contrary, if you want someone who listens to you, explains what they will do to help you and is there to truly address your issues in a meaningful way...he is the guy!

Very professional and respectful of your time. Dr Gallo is the best in the business by a long shot!

Very accommodating and helpful

I have been Dr. Gallo’s patient for at least eight years, someone who always listens carefully and kindly to my concerns. He responds to my emails immediately, actually about a minute after I have sent them. When I need a new prescription or refill on a prescription, he also fills them immediately. In addition, he is always on time for my appointments. I highly recommend him.
