Kanchan Pande's Online Review Report Card

I have had multiple bad experiences with Dr. Pande. Several years ago I took my son to see her when he was little. She couldn’t handle him and told me that he needed a pulpotomy. I took him to another dentist. They had no issue handling him. They also told me that he did not need a pulpotomy. We also saw another dentist after that. They had no issues handling my son and also agreed that a pulpotomy was completely unnecessary and a waste. Recently I had a problem with one of my teeth. It was a tooth that had been filled a year before. The pain was excruciating. She couldn’t give me any definitive answers on what was wrong. She poked and prodded my tooth causing me more and more pain. She gave me antibiotics and nothing for pain relief. She recommended having the tooth pulled or paying thousands on a root canal and crown. I got an appointment with a real dentist. He was horrified by the treatment that I received. He said there was absolutely no reason for the tooth to be extracted. He preformed the root canal right away. The procedure took about five minutes, not including the time it took for the novacaine to kick in. I have one more appointment in a few days to have the root canal finished once the infection is gone. He also went through all my x-rays. He was disgusted. So many of my fillings were not done properly and cavities had been missed. His whole office staff couldn’t believe that Well One wouldn’t take the time to get my white fillings covered since I am severely allergic to mercury which is in amalgam. I suffered for years not being able to get cavities filled when all they had to do was work with the insurance company to get them covered. Instead they let my cavities get out of control unless I came up with money to pay them out of pocket. WellOne unnecessarily completely destroyed my teeth all because they were too lazy to do what was needed to get my fillings covered. Ever since Dr. Paul Sicola left (and since passed) WellOne has not been a good place to go. Himself and the previous office manager worked together to get my fillings covered. After that it was all downhill from there. Plus there is no reason for cavities to be improperly filled or for them to have to be redone less than a year after being filled. I am so thankful I went to a better dentist and got better care.

I met Dr. Pande on 2/1/16 when I went to WellnessOne 142 Danielson Pike Foster with a major toothache and a very swollen face on my left side. She gave me a prescription for Penicillin to take the swelling down and Ibuprofen. I went back on Thursday 2/4/16 to have the broken eye tooth pulled out and Dr. Pande was finished before I realized she was done. She is very gentle and friendly. I decided that from now on anytime I have a problem with my teeth Dr. Pande will be the one. M Connolly
