The waiting room staff were great but Dr. Coppa was over booked and did not have any bedside manner. I called prior to my visit to ask what would be done while there, I was told just an intake, which would consist of asking me about my pregnancy, along with some blood work. I was not told I was going to get an “annual exam” so I was throw off guard when told to be a gown on. He then immediately came into the room and pulled down my gown without any warning to do a breast exam. He then lifted my gown to do the fetal Doppler on my abdomen leaving me exposed from the waist down for least 5 minutes while he was trying to find a heart beat (which wasn’t able to be found because it was too early to detect on the Doppler, but he was in such a rush that he didn’t even know how far along I was) I told him I had miscarried 2 times before and he said “welp, I guess fingers crossed on this one” which felt insensitive. Overall I left having felt exposed and really upset/disappointed about my first pre natal appointment which I was so excited about.

Wife came home mortified, just came in and lifted her gown down and started examining her breasts without saying one word. Lifted her gown up to do the fetal Doppler and was left on the table exposed for 5 minutes. He was seeing multiple patients at the same time. Way too busy to care about anyone’s experience. Wife has miscarried twice, when he learned this he said “fingers crossed on this one”. She had to repeat all information to him that was already given to the nurse. Yelp will show similar reviews, no idea why his rating is so high on here
