List of Abrar A. Qureshi's Reviews
Dr. Qureshi, performed surgery on my lumbar region, at the beginning of Feb 2022. I'm 3 months into recovery and I am just so grateful for the amazing job he and his team did for me. I was in tremendous pain leading up to the procedure and had suffered with lower back problems for many years. Seeing the acute situation I was in, Dr Qureshi urgently admitted me through ER and performed the surgery that I can honestly say was transformational. He's very humble and extremely knowledgeable and I have no hesitation to recommend him.
Dr Qureshi is my hero! He performed an anterior and posterior lumbar fusion surgery that lasted 11 hours. 10 years ago I had a lumbar fusion surgery that needed to be redone due to instability (this was with another surgeon).I wasn't able to stand or walk for more than 15 minutes without being in excruciating back pain and one of my legs getting numb. Now, 4 months after my surgery, I feel like a new person! I walk for 1 hour every day and am able to live a more "normal life". Dr Qureshi and his team were very thorough, professional and caring during the surgery time and during the follow-up. I highly recommend him.
My orthopedic surgeon saved my life. He was very methodical to solve the complications of the laminoplasty. The decision to go with the laminectomy saved me from paralysis. I thank him for allowing me to walk again, even with a cane. The infection found was treated by two very strong antibiotics. I have gained full stamina and strength in my extremities. I walk at least 2 to 3 miles a day with the cane.Thank you very much.
There is lots to say about Dr. Qureshi. I never place an emphasis on bedside manner but if I did he gets a 10. It becomes apparent pretty quickly that you are in the presence of a humble master. Somebody at the top of their craft yet no airs and no ego. He is centrally focused on the solution to your problem using his extraordinary means as a surgeon and I would say as a mechanic. I think he has no patience for half measures, meaning if it can't be done right he's not gonna do it. I had a TILF for the L3 L4 and L5 and it was predicted to take about 4 1/2 hours. But it took almost 7 because he found so much scar tissue there was just no way he was gonna leave it there. No half measures, get it? During our preop appointments, it became pretty apparent to me the extraordinary human that was going to be working on one of the most delicate parts of my body. The depth of experience is hard to match having done this operation 1500 times prior to my arrival. Where does that send my confidence level? I am at day 71 and the prediction is that the bones are fused at day 90 and I will start my physical therapy about two weeks after that. My healing process has been extraordinary but at the same time predicted as long as I followed all the rules, the Dr. Qureshi rules. A clear, clean, and understandable path towards success with a predictable and reliable outcome, is there anything more that we can ask for? I'm not blowing smoke here. My back was so severely injured I couldn't stand up without having massive shooting pains down both legs, and that pain was gone when I woke up. In about another three months maybe four I'll be trail running through the wilderness free as a bird. Thanks Doc, may you live a long and happy life, I know I will.
It was the worst experience ever. My son has had back pain for months. His PCP said he has scoliosis, so we went to see Dr. Qureshi. We waited one month for the earliest appointment available. The appt was at 4 pm. We waited 40 mins to be seen by him, and he was rushing and talking for less than 4 mins (nothing meant anything that helped or answered for the back pain). My son had 2 X-rays done, one a yr ago and one recent. He didn't even see/notice the recent X-ray until after he walked out of the room. Dr. Qureshi recommended an MRI and PT. Here it is again. The first PT availability is one mo from the time I called. I called the office twice to request the MRI appt, but they said someone would call me. It has been three weeks. NO ONE at the MRI department has called me for the appt. BTW, the Therapy Orders form they handed to me has the wrong patient info. They just gave me one of their patients' names, DOB, addresses, and phone numbers. There goes the patient care and patient privacy.I have high deducible insurance, and I am paying for the consultation out of my pocket. I'm paying $250 for less than 4 mins for his time, and what about my time? I waited 40 mins and still don't know why my son has back pain. I feel like just being robbed.
After 5 years of dealing with a painful herniated disk (L5) and injections weren't working any longer, I was ready for the next step which meant surgery. I was recommended to get my surgery done by Dr.Quereshi.Dr.Quereshi was very professional and described to me exactly how he was going to approach my surgery which made me feel comfortable. I was at peace after my pre-op visit with him and I could not wait to have Dr.Quereshi fix me!!! As of 7/1/21 I'm no longer in Pain and my recovery has been successful! I'm now in Physical Therapy per his instructions to increase my muscles strength and flexibility. If you have any Orthopedic issues don't hesitate to visit Dr.Quereshi.He is a gentle and gifted soul and is in a mission to help others bring back to a healthy lifestyle.
I'd rather call Dr. Qureshi an angel with magical hands. I had so much pain in my neck and shoulders for many years and no doctor figure out the case of pain even with radiology. Now its been 3 months of my cervical disc operation and I feel so good with my outcome. I highly recommend Dr. Qureshi for anyone who needs to do surgery.
Dr. Qureshi performed a spinal fusion revision (L3,4,5, & S1) back in late summer of 2019. There were some issues with the hospital after the surgery and Dr. Q personally resolved them. In fact he gave me his personal cell # if I needed his assistance for any relevant post surgical issues. He has always showed the utmost respect and is a very caring, kind person. He was cautious at every step from diagnosis through post-op care.To ensure proper healing I waited about 4 or 5 months after surgery to start PT. Just as I started, the pandemic hit. It is only now (May 2021) that my husband (organ transplant) and I are cautiously going out into the world again now that we are fully vaccinated. After viewing my latest x-rays, Dr. Qureshi has approved the restart of my PT. All the stars.
There are no words that can express my gratitude to Dr. Qureshi and his PA Zach. They are a fantastic team. My mother was in so much pain and she basically could not walk a block without extreme pain and talked to her primary doctor to no avail. Finally I decided to take her into Muir Orthopedic and that's when Dr. Qureshi brought her back to life! It's been almost 6 months since her spinal fusion and it was a life changer for him. If/when I need something like this he will be the first call. I suggest that you do the same. This team is phenomenal.
wanted to update now that my sciatica pain is gone. I ended up having to get a lumbar microdisectomy and Dr. Qureshi helped make the entire experience go smoothly. I was extremely nervous but the entire staff at Sequoia Surgical and Dr. Qureshi himself are very nice and helped me in any way they could throughout my healing process. Dr. Qureshi did a great job on my surgery and I am finally pain free after 9 months of pain. I highly recommend him to anyone experiencing back pain.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
