I was a patient of Dr Epstein since 2018 for PBC liver autoimmune disease. I never really care for him as a doctor never thought he was doing as much as he could. After having covid in feb 2020 my breathing was bad oxygen levels low . Ask him if if could be coming from my liver he said no there’s no fluid build up . I was also seeing a pulmonary doctor who could figure this out . He was so wrong from going undiagnosed for almost 2 years now it’s caused portalpumary hypertension. Stay away from this doctor from what I heard he left RI practicing in Boston now

Too many doctors evaluate patients and compartmentalize their illnesses, then they are put into a "box" and all treated the same. I did not feel that I was treated this way by Dr. Epstein nor his office staff!

If I could give this doctor and his staff zero stars I would. Dr. Epstein and his staff are highly inappropriate and rude. I don’t even know where to begin I visited him maybe three months ago to start this stomach journey problems yet there he was giving me attitude and political advice of what I should do with my body with this vaccine seeing as I am not vaccinated. Which I don’t see a problem seeing as the vaccine is supposed to protect to you that’s your own opinion and you have your own thoughts based on the vaccine. So I don’t see an issue. Now my marijuana use is the problem, smoking once at night time to help me eat and sleep since I can’t do that on my own. You people are a joke.

This is for the awful front office staff that won't even return a call for an appointment after a referral from my primary care physician. Completely incompetent and rude on the phone when they do actually answer. The doctor might actually be good but who would know if you can't get an appointment?

Been seeing Dr. Epstein for many years and always have a great experience with him. He's kept my chronic condition under control for the entire time and I've always had a great rapport with him. Great doctor!

Dr. Epstein is an excellent gastroenterologist. He has been my GI doc for years and he has helped me through multiple health scares.

Dr. Epstein is a caring doctor my husband and son are patients of his and they love him. I would refer him to anyone that needs a GI doctor.

I have had Dr. Epstein as my GI for years. I am sorry for one lady's experience but would say that he is the best GI in Rhode Island. He is very concerned about his patients, a pleasure to interact with and is well respected by his peers

The doctor and his receptionist are two different people. I'm so sorry you (referring to the person who was routinely rescheduled) had that experience. I'm sure she did not behave that way when he was nearby. I hope you wrote to the Doctor and let him know. Dr. Epstein is genious. He's not a guy with a real outgoing personality, you have to draw it out of him. But then, I wasn't there for social hour. He was my gastro doctor when Deiter Pohl did my bypass. Both doctors are excellent. I'm 10 years down the road and everything is still well.
