List of Amer Malik's Reviews
There are many options in finding the 'right' doctor when it comes to treatment. Dr. Malik was spot on with my diagnosis, treatment plan, etc. He really cares about his patients and checks in with you on a regular basis.
I saw dr. Malik for aprox 3 years. My problem was uncontrolled diarrhea with really bad cramps. I felt like he just didn't hear me. My GPs Nurse practitioner gave me the name of a new GI doc. Within 2 months she was able to eliminate my cramps and control my diarrhea. You need to advocate for yourself. No one else can do it.
Dr. Malik is the best GI I have even saw. Hes kind, compassionate and really wants to help. He listens to his patients too. I told him what I though about certain things and he listened, took my advice and followed through. He never rushes you and calls from home to see how you are. Definitely a great doctor yo see if you need a GI.
My nephew was been seeing /dr Malik for two years. All his tests he is still in extreme pain. During his visits there is a limit of the 15 mins and never a decisive conversation only " we'll eliminate by doing theses procedures" /the poor guy is in pain after he eats "anythin" and he follows a strick diet. His weight has dropped 30 pounds! Literally he hates to have to eat a meal! Dr Malik has no answers for him? I wish he would help his patient with this Specialty of his. So disappointing and very heartbreaking for me to see him feeling so much in pain,
I agree with "terrible" Dr is "tests" and "tests" over two years on my son who is still in pain and no answers as to why. "ruling out" has gotten to the point of ridiculous! Your 15 minute exam time is all you get and what a disappointing experience. Find someone else to help you solve or at least treat your medical issue
Dr Malik explained everything very clearly and even drew a picture of what the procedure would entail. He is very kind, compassionate and thorough and spent time asking questions and discussing the process and the findings from the tests. The office staff is very helpful and pleasant also.

He’s a terrible doctor, ignorant and unprofessional! Do not take your family members to see him!
We continue to attend these visits because of the very minimal amount of Portuguese Dr. Malik is able to offer my immigrant family. However, again the doctor was late by a half hour. When he arrived, he spent exactly five minutes with us. This was interesting given that this office called my father in a month early from his previously scheduled appointment. This left my elderly father with the impression there was bad news to be given from his recent imaging. Not the case. Neither he nor his assistant seemed much interested in the alarm they raised with actions of their medical staff. The adventures continue.
Dr. Malik was disrespectfully late for my father's appointment- a luxury he would not likely return in kind. He was 35 minutes late for the appointment and it was the first of the day. He came in thinking he was examining a Maria introducing himself to my mother, dad's name is not Maria, nor is my mother's. He was ill-prepared and did not walk in with a file or an understanding of why dad, the patient was there. The staff is not very friendly. They are robotic in performance, lack desire to demonstrate personality though I am confident they have one and just seem adamant on not sharing it. Notably they are friendly with one another and share smiles openly and a light switch goes off when it is time to address the public. They got points for being accurate and efficient with paperwork. Once he was asked to visit the file, he left the room and read through. When he returned we were able to have a more thorough and thoughtful conversation. This is our second visit to this doctor. He does not show up prepared for visit at all. The first visit was a waste of time as it turned out the second was as well. I would recommend that Dr. Malik read the referral file/notes as to then raise questions based on his knowledge and expertise- instead of this wing-it as I go along approach, which does nothing to build trust between physician and patient.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
