Dr. Evans was very easy to talk to. He listened to my concerns and answered my questions. He took his time with me. I would use him again if I required surgery.

I had a higher grade shoulder separation. I was somewhat rudely demanding surgery with Andrew Evans. Dr. Evans stood his ground and prescribed PT… . My clavicle returned to close to normal position and healed itself over about six months. My shoulder is about as good as new after a year or so. Glad Dr. Evans was making the call, and not various "experts" on the internet.

I had extensive multiple surgeries resulting from a car accident that were performed by other trauma surgeons. The results were collapsed hip, numerous fracture that impinged my radial nerve causing loss of use of my hand. Dr. Evans came in from PNC and freed the my nerve giving me use of my hand back, and performed pioneering surgery to fix my hip. I can walk now and have fun use of my hand back. He was amazing!

Dr. Evans is an amazing surgeon. I am a middle aged endurance athlete who got hit by a car while training. Dr Evans is very thorough and cautious, but also very encouraging and understanding of an active person. Several folks posted complaints about the wait times for post surgery appointments. Yes there is a wait. He performs many procedures and only does consult work on Thursdays. I’d rather wait for his expertise than be seen by a stranger. My injuries were traumatic and he put me back together. 5 out of 5 from this patient!

Dr. Evans is a highly skilled, efficient, friendly Orthopedic surgeon. He repaired my broken tibia and fibula, and my scars from surgery are almost non existent. I'm healing faster than I originally thought. His staff is efficient, friendly, very well trained, and wel iinformed. His exam rooms and waiting rooms are clean and adhere to social distancing and mask guidelines. Hand sanitizer is prevalent everywhere. I'd recommend Dr. Evans and his staff to anyone seeking Orthopedic care in Rhode Island.

Great Doctor! Will be my orthopedic whenever I need one. Takes his time to go over any and all concerns you may have. And educate you on anything you seek insightment on.

While I think Dr. Evans is a good trauma surgeon, I think if you're having issues post surgery like I did, I would get a second opinion. For the first year after my patella ORIF (after a fall) it seemed like I had pretty good results, but had continuous swelling and discomfort after vigorous activity. After 1.5-2 years I still had atrophy and pain, which started to affect the opposite side of body. I went to Dr. Evans a few times for x-rays, and then I asked him for an MRI, which he did do, because I felt something was not right and my knee was getting worse. He brushed it off as arthritis and referred me to a rheumatologist. I'm 41 and active and this did not sit well with me. I could not do all the things I was used to doing. Long story short, went to a surgeon who specializes in knees. I had a grade 4 defect in the cartilage around knee, which most likely happened on my fall, and was not degenerative in nature (not sure of this was missed during my ORIF, will never know). Also had a bone spur, not attributed to fall. Doctors cannot know everything and the point is you know your body, so get a second opinion if you are not satisfied with what the doc says. While I believe his intentions are good, he should probably listen more authentically to his patients, because they know their body best.

Waited over an hour to be seen on 3 appointments. Dr. Evans seems to have too many patients to pay attention to important details if you are not having surgery. Seems like nice guy but get a second opinion.
