Anthony Mega's Online Review Report Card

Have been with Dr. Mega for almost 7 years after surgical oncologist referred me to him in the wake of procedures for Stage 3 malignant melanoma. He totally explained potential treatments, risks, downsides, alternative measures to employ measures to stay attentive to potential problems. He respects patients and does an outstanding job to attend to them whatever they decide as their choice to do.

Someone I have been able to trust because of his experience and honesty.

I was referred to Dr. Mega when I had to change my entire cancer care team. (prostate cancer)I had an appointment within 1 week. I kept getting the run around from the other cancer team( if that's what they are) that what I was experiencing was not from the effects/side effects from Lupron...Dr. mega validated that it was indeed the Lupron...he spent a lot of time with me answered all my questions with the explanation behind them...We discussed so much about my prostate cancer that the other team just brushed aside..I truly feel he cares about ME and my treatment and outcome....Dr. mega is a kind, compassionate caring Doctor..I also saw a nurse care coordinator, a social worker and each spent as much time with me as I needed...they even picked up on a very serious Knee issue I have...I am so grateful I was referred to him

Not a place you want to be a patient of, however, it’s the best of the best. 5-stars to Dr. Mega.

I’m a kidney cancer patient and fly back to PVD from FL twice a year. After my reviews with Dr Mega he gives me more hope.

Dr Mega ran a scan on my husband to see if he had any new tumors. One was in his liver, but Dr Mega forgot to tell us or treat it. Months later, another dr. express his sympathy about my husband's liver tumor. This is how we learned about it! Dr Mega was too embarrassed to confront us, so he sent in a young PA to give us the news. I insisted on seeing Dr Mega. He came in and said that my husband was too weak for surgery. Nothing could be done. We found dr. Dupuy at RI hospital and tumor ablated

After a 15 minute wait in waiting room, my 90 year old, in pain, father was put in an examining room and kept waiting for 1 and 3/4 hours before Doctor team came in. We were told he had to have a kidney biopsy before they could properly diagnose. After 4 days of not hearing anything I called the office to see about the biopsy. I spoke to a nurse who said she was trying to schedule it and would get back to me. Did not get a response. I called later in day and left a voice message, still no response. Next day our Visiting Nurse placed a phone call and I finally received a call from Dr. Mega saying they were not going to do a kidney biopsy. This is after keeping us hanging for the biopsy appt. for FIVE DAYS. Rude and unacceptable treatment.

Doctor Mega helped me out many years ago to get a proper diagnosis and appropritate treatment. I've been seeing him for follow up on and off for over 13 years now. I've moved around and have generally lived in the Southeast US. I've found Doctor Mega to be down to earth, easy to talk to, a good person and last but not least very knowledge. I can confidently say that if I come out of remission I would choose to place my life in his hands.

He is a really good doctor in a field where everything is a guess. He takes some time to warm up, he is dry in the begining but he DOES care. The office staff and Kathy Higginbotham ARE THE BEST.
