Beata E. Dizoglio's Online Review Report Card

After several doctors brushed off my unusual symptoms during pregnancy, Dr Dizoglio truly listened to my concerns and ran several tests to ultimately determine I had a rare, high-risk condition. From there, she was an integral part of my care team and took numerous calls to explain things and keep me calm (but well informed). Simply stated, I wholeheartedly believe she saved my daughters life, as the condition could have resulted in negative fetal outcomes if left untreated. Dr. Dizoglio is an incredible advocate for women’s health, and you can trust that you are getting the most thorough care with her knowledge, warmth, and compassion.

To give her 1 star is generous. I am a nurse that works in the outpatient setting so I know how it works. She constantly brings me in 30-40 minutes late to my appointment and has no consideration of my time. Never answers my questions during my visit and gives the impression that I am not worth her time. Will be telling colleagues, family and friends to stay away from this person who claims she is a doctor.

Dr Dizoglio is incompetent. She informed me she would send a prescription over to my pharmacy and she never did. It literally took me two days of calling the office and speaking to various staff members before one of them kindly sent the prescription over. But surprise! that prescription is not covered by Blue Cross! CVS sent me several texts stating they are trying to contact the Dr to get an alternate medication. A week later and still no medication! This is for severe menopause symptoms that are interfering with my daily life. I called the office over two days asking for a call from Dr Dizoglio regarding this medication issue. She never called me back. Finally I called yesterday and made an appointment with another Dr. at this practice who is supposed to be good, to save myself the inconvenience of switching to another practice after 20 plus years of going there. My former Dr. there was wonderful, but has retired. I will certainly switch to another practice if I am not happy with my next appointment with this new Dr. The office staff is subpar and not caring, I get the I could not care less vibe, let me get this woman off the phone vibe 100%! She sent me to the Women and Infants emergency room after sending me to her office for two follow ups on a condition she clearly did not know how to treat. She failed to to even contact the Emergency room as promised to inform them of my symptoms and prior treatments. They never heard from her and I had to go over everything with them from the beginning. My experience with her has been awful. I do not know why I continued with her for two years now. I have good health insurance and do not need to see incompetent doctors who cannot even prescribe meds and make call backs, never mind accurately diagnose and treat gynecological conditions that she is allegedly board certified for. My dog receives better and more compassionate care at her vets. Please avoid this "doctor"!! You do not want to trust your healthcare needs with her.

she is terrible at her job, cannot even do an internal exam without pinching. Did a biopsy on me and was afraid. Does not seem experienced although according to her profile she is. Was not able to accurately diagnose me and sent me back and forth to her office a couple of times then the women and infants emergency room. Did not follow through with prescribing a medication. Had to call the office fourth times over two days and speak to rude office staff who also did not want to help finally spoke to someone on the second day who sent over my prescription to the pharmacy only to have it rejected by blue cross as it is not a covered medication. My pharmacy sent me several texts stating they were trying to contact my Dr for an alternate medication. She has yet to respond to them. It has been a week I have called the office asking for the Dr to call me for four days. Never got a call back. I finally made an appointment with another Dr there. We will see how that goes. Please be careful with this Dr I believe she is incompetent and unprofessional. I have never been treated so horribly by a Dr and their staff in my life. I do have an appointment with another practice and probably will be switching depending on how my application goes with another Dr there.

She did not listen to my concerns when I had issues. She continually told me to "wait and see" when I called to let her know of excessive bleeding and blood loss. She told me she thought I was exaggerating . After a few weeks of this I called my former GYN who saw me immediately with an ultrasound prior. I had a massive fibroid tumor and required a hysterectomy.

Dizoglio didn’t listen to why I was visiting her and spoke to me as if I was there for a different reason, addressing the wrong issue nearly the entire time. She contradicted the accurate assessments and successful treatments of my primary care physician. She did a breast and pelvic exam despite my objections because I just had them at my primary care physician. She did not provide any assistance with or treatment for the actual purpose of my visit. She was also impatient and curt.

I visited Dr. Dizoglio for consultation & guidance about my increasingly debilitating symptoms of perimenopause (PM). The list of gynecological services on her website included menopause. I took that to mean the whole process of menopause – from perimenopause (PM) to post menopause. I even specifically asked on the phone, when setting up my visit, if her office was knowledgeable of PM & was told by one of her staff that all the doctors in the office were. Yet, when I was met in her examination room she & her staff not only thought I was there for a routine check up, but seemed to have no understanding of what PM even was. When asked why I was there to see her, I described my symptoms. She dismissed each symptom, telling me I’d need to go see another health care professional to address them & repeated that these symptoms did not indicate menopause, despite the fact that, when considered together, all the symptoms clearly indicated the signature hormone fluctuation characteristic of PM that was clear enough for my primary care physician to diagnose over a year ago. For example, instead of angina, which is typical of PM, she told me she thought my pain might be fibromyalgia & that I’d need to see someone else for that. She also told me that she thought my recently occurring hot flashes were being caused by the progesterone my primary care physician prescribed me over a year ago, instead of the more likely cause of recently dropping levels of estrogen. She told me it was normal to have a period that fluctuates from 21–32 days, even though that level of fluctuation is a clear indicator of PM. She told me it was normal to experience a cessation in my periods if I was physically active. Yet my periods have not stopped & I never said they had. She wasn’t listening to a word I was saying. At one point she even told me she thought all my symptoms were likely caused by my gastrointestinal issues & insisted that I was not menopausal at all. Clearly, I am not menopausal. I am peri/premenopausal. That was the whole purpose of my visit – to receive help managing my peri/premenopausal symptoms, but she seemed to have no understanding of them & was incapable of addressing them. I asked for guidance about how to modulate my progesterone & my newly started phytoestrogen intake to better manage my symptoms. She provided none. Instead she suggested I stop taking the progesterone altogether, so she could do a bunch of hormone tests that from my research & the advice of other healthcare professionals are ineffective at providing useful diagnostic/treatment information regarding PM. When I expressed concern about stopping progesterone, she then contradicted herself & told me to keep taking it. She then insisted on administering an unnecessary breast & pelvic exam despite my protests. I told her I had just had both done by my primary care physician. She still insisted. I acquiesced because she told me she would examine for vaginal dryness & thinning, but she didn’t or didn’t relay her observations. Not only were my needs not addressed, but I left the visit insulted, angry, & revolted by the lack of knowledge & care that she & her staff exhibited. Especially when menopause was listed as one of her services offered on her website & confirmed by her staff over the phone. She shouldn’t have that service listed on her website if she is incapable of providing it. Not only is it false advertising, but it is a serious disservice to women, like me, desperately in need of assistance. Women face so many obstacles in life. We look to women like Dizoglio for guidance. As a woman & a women’s health professional I expected more from her. The stages of menopause, both before & after, are long & trying. I sought her help for some hope & relief & received nothing but ignorance & dismissal. I was charged $113 for the visit & despite multiple emails & calls she refused to cancel my bill or give me a refund. I would not recommend visiting “Dr.” Dizoglio.

I emailed Dr. Dizoglio my complaints and told her that I did not want to be charged for my visit. I then spoke with her on the phone and she told me that her office manager would take care of it. Unfortunately, I received a bill in the mail today. Women face so many obstacles in life. Our health and the unique challenges our bodies and its various life stages pose can be very difficult to overcome. We look to women like Dr. Dizoglio for help and guidance. As a woman and a women’s health professional – one of the few who might understand these challenges – I expected more from her. The stages of menopause, both before and after, are long and trying. I sought her help for some hope and relief and received nothing but ignorance and dismissal. Because Dr. Dizoglio failed to address my needs and performed an unnecessary breast and pelvic exam despite my objections, I should not have had to pay for my visit. However, I was charged $113 and despite multiple emails and calls she refused to cancel my bill or give me a refund. I would not recommend visiting “Dr.” Dizoglio.

Dr Dizoglio is thorough, kind, and gentle. She always takes her time to answer any questions I have and has provided me with amazing care!
