I waited 5 months to see her and everything she said was obvious. I’ve been struggling with multiple menopausal symptoms, that is her specialty, and her suggestions were those easily found on a quick google search. The one thing she suggested was a referral to a psychiatrist. Thank you for that, but this was extremely disappointing, frustrating and unbelievable!
Terrible! I’ve never had a doctor cancel on me as often as Dr. Brendel - and each time you try to reschedule it’s months out and then, surprise! Cancelled again, and again, and again! I don’t know if it’s her, or her office people not knowing how to calendar, communicate - but I won’t be giving them a chance to cancel on me again.
I went to her because 4 years after menopause I started bleeding. My sister died of cervical cancer so my primary dr scheduled an ultrasound and a Pap smear then suggested I see a gynecologist because there was a mass. Brendel was condescending and disrespectful from the minute I met her. I knew I wasn’t staying with her but I needed my results. After she performed the procedure she told me everything was clear no signs of cancer. When I continued bleeding she just told me to monitor it! I immediately found a new dr and she read my results and said there were precancerous cells. I had a hysterectomy two weeks later. I wouldn’t send anyone to Brendel. She is awful.
Horrible horrible bedside manners. Completely dismissed questions regarding menopause. Couldn’t get out of the exam room fast enough! Will never recommend this doctor to anyone. Looking for new ob
She was very dismissive of my symptoms. Horrible bedside manner. She couldn't care less about her patients!
Dr. Bendel does not call her patients back even for basic questions. Her office staff doesn't even want to hear what you have to stay. You'd think they are protecting her from having her to talk to a person. She is absolutely not concerned with offering therapies that are safe, cost-effective and in the patient's best interest. She would rather perform procedures that giver her the biggest bang for her buck even if there are safer alternatives. The board of medicine should audit her records - they are horrific. Plan on a trip to the ER and lots of antibiotics after an "exam" by her. Go someplace else!
I would strongly recommend NOT seeing her . She's disrespectful, dismissive, very insensitive. She basically told me that my symptoms didn't exist or weren't legitimate - apparently they only exist if she can treat them .
She's callous, insensitive, dismissive, disrespectful. She listened only enough to decide what symptoms I had. She shrugged, smirked and made a hand motion - as though waving away what I was saying...to arrive at the conclusion she wanted . Bizarre . Go somewhere else.
This doctor has displayed condescending behavior during my last few visits. According to this doctor intense menstrual cramps for two consecutive weeks and stomach nausea for three consecutive months is normal among other symptoms I've been experiencing. I repeatedly requested to be tested for PCOS yet this doctor refused to order a new ultrasound for me despite my symptoms. My gp order one. My latest results indicate there are some issues that need following up. I'm glad I used my judgment not to listen to this doctor. As the saying goes, sometimes you have to be your own doctor. Thankfully, my gp took my symptoms seriously!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
