I had an endoscopy 6 weeks ago and despite my calling the office I still do not have the results. This is totally unacceptable! What kind of Dr does not responded to phone calls. Also on the day of the procedure I was given a handout that said I would have my biopsy results mailed to me in 2 weeks. Again here it is 6 weeks out and nothing! Will not recommend him to anyone. He was suggested by my PC and I will inform him of this so he will not use this Dr for his other patients!

Dr. Berthiaume has been my doctor for many years. He was my mother’s doctor before he was mine. He has helped me figure out a number of things that haven’t been going right. He listens well and is determined to help solve my problems. A friend of mine went to him on my recommendation and was satisfied as well. I enthusiastically recommend Dr. Berthiaume.

Boyfriend had a procedure on 8-23 office clams they mailed the results 2 times never got it in the mailed. Office workers are rude. He could have cancer we never got results.

For months I have not felt well. I never got to see him just his nurse practitioner.Until I needed endoscopy . I saw him and he told me everything is fine just acid reflux and ibs. After endoscopy pain in stomach and naseau got worse. Went to Kent county twice they said nothing is wrong its just ibs and dr. Berthiaume came to visit and said it's just ibs gave me some pills and sent me on the way. I kept calling his office after that saying I was in pain. Finally they gave me an appointment with nurse practitioner again and she said same thing its ibs . Never checked my stomach or did anything cause she figured i already went to hospital. She gave me some medication to take at night which did not agree with me. I ended up going back in forth with secretary cause about meds and she just said doctor is calling in New scripts those didn't work either. Pain got so bad again i ended up going to Roger Williams hospital because Kent just is the worst. Come to find out it was my appendix causing all this pain. The doctors there actually listened to me instead of blamimg ibs for everything. I told dr.berthiaume it was a different pain and his nurse practitioner it wasn't ibs they repeatedly said it was.Surgeon at Roger Williams took it out immediately and said you must have been in pain for a awhile your appendix was inflamed for a while. Called Dr. Berthiaume s office to let them know they never called me back. Smh...Instead of really listening to me and symptoms they just kept giving pills and blaming it on ibs.. Now i am pain free from appendix being out... Do not recommend this doctor!

My mom had a mild stoke. My daughter took her to an appointment for a GI problem. My daughter, age 33 said he was the rudest doctor she'd ever met. My mom wanted to fill out her own paper work and he literally told her "I have other patient waiting for me". It escalated from there. The rudeness continued. I have a question about my mom's medication and have attempted to reach their office for 3 days now. Their outgoing message claims they will call you back either at the end of that same work day OR the next business day. Well...day three and still waiting. Finally, the corker was....why would a GI doctore not request a stool sample from a patient with chronic diarhhea. Quite neglectful.

Refused to see me again after I got a second opinion from another doctor. I got the second opinion after being "treated' for months with no answers or changes to my situation. Highly unsatisfied and would not recommend him to anyone.

It’s been a week my mom has been trying to get ahold of your office in eg!!! The lines are always busy!!! And no one ever returns calls!!
