I have dealt with Dr Spellun for over 30 plus years . I trust no one else but him. I do not trust drs in RI very easy. I was 20 when I met Dr Spellun. He got me through the pressures of law school , bar exam am criminal practices w ulcerative colitis and I’m still alive

I had been going to him for 15 years before I moved to Florida. He is amazing! Skilled physician with superb assessment skills and a warm and comforting bedside manner. You may have to wait for him but that’s because he gives everyone the time they need. I wish he would move to Florida!!

Dr spelling was knowlegable but the office billing is horrible. They requestwd paument up front then never contact me that my account was over paid. they were rude and stated they could hold my Payment for 30 days which is what they did. Meanwhile I owed the money to the doctor and got bills from his office. The worst is to miss manage other people's money

Dr. Spellun knows his stuff, but staff is iffy. Don't know whether they are mean or stupid but He's the best.

Dr. Spellin has a wonderful bedside manner. He is very knowledgeable and up to date on all new medicines and issues that are out. Has always diagnosed me before test results even came back. Other family members also see him. I highly recommend him!

Dr Spellun is a great asset to his field. I have been a patient of his for over 30 years when he first started practice on Atwood Ave. He has been there when I freaked out. I was diagnosed w U C when I was 20. Dr Spellun came highly recommend He has done his best to keep my condition quite. I have recommended other family members and friends to Dr Spellun without reservation

Dr. Spellun was a godsend to me almost 20 years ago when I came down with pancreatitis and was almost on deaths door. Although his personality could be a little quirky at times, he was very competent, and it wasn't that difficult to get an appointment. Fast forward to a few years ago. It became increasingly difficult to get an appointment, and many times we had to see the NP instead. Dr. Spellun's personality seemed to become more arrogant as well. Rather then taking the time to research my problem, he seemed to dismiss everything as being related to being overweight or for mental health reasons. Some family members that went to him noticed this as well. We have since changed to a new gastroenterologist who takes our concerns more seriously. Maybe Dr. Spellun needs to take some time of from practicing to do research or perhaps consider an early retirement if he can't be nice to patients and their families.

Great doctor, I been his patient for over 20 years, always helpful and knowledgeable. Most importantly during office visits he takes his time, answers your questions and is very thorough. The office staff is unbelievable, never rude and every time I have an issue with medications, procedures or appointments they are ready to help. Highly recommend this practice.
