List of John Corvese's Reviews
Regularly overbooks appointments so you can be assured to have a long wait time. Rude front office staff that gossip about customers in voice loud enough for anyone in office to hear. In need of a culture change. Many good Optometrist options in RI, you don't have to settle for rude front desk staff and long wait times
This was my first appointment. They are so caring and everyone very helpful and attentive. I had a great experience and will be going back.
Matter of fact discussion about eyecare needs, without frills or sugarcoating. Great attention to details. I've seen many eye doctors, and I really wouldn't want to go anywhere else. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I've never had a single bad moment in this office.
Dr. Corvese has been my Optometrist for over 20 years. I am shocked to read the negative reviews below. He is one of the kindest, most laid back people I have met, always willing to squeeze you in if you have an issue (i.e. Infection with contacts). My grown children have been patients since they were six. His waiting rooms are always packed with loyal patients; he takes time to assess your needs carefully while checking up on any other health issues. He is compassionate, always has time for a little chit chat. His staff is terrific and efficient. He has returned calls well after hours for emergency situations. Cannot say enough!
I feel that Dr. Corvese is the best I doctor I've ever gone to! He listens to his patients and he has a great bedside manner. He always took care of my family's optometry needs for glasses or contacts or even the annual Eye exam. We always had a great rapport with him and I trust him immensely.
great doctor! GREAT experience!!!
RIP OFF! He charged my naive 17 year-old $126 for ONE pair of contact lenses that cost $88 for 12 pairs on the web! Same brand, same prescription. And the exam was extra!
My name is Robert Fagnant. Dr. John Corvese was a Godsend. He advised me not get eye surgery and protect my vision with an excellent examination and a prescription for contacts. He's the most intelligent, highly degree, OD I've ever been to that also holds multiple PhD's. He cares enough to fit me in for follow up exams and see how I'm doing with just one contact I like to use in my left eye for mono-vision. Until I met Dr. Corvese, I didn't even know this could be done legally! Seldom do you find a Doctor that really cares!
Not a very nice man and his staff is rude too. Cancelled me as a patient because I went to a funeral and he wouldn't accept that as a reason to miss my appointment! even though I had never missed an appointment before and was always on time. His equipment is ancient. he made me wait 45 min to an hour each time. I was thanking him for taking me as a patient and he said "don't thank me, I'm not happy about it"- I was dumbfounded- never had a supposed professional been so rude. He was supposed to be seeing me on a sliding fee scale but he saw me every week and i've since found out that I only needed to be seen once a month- he was seeing me every week so he would make the same amount as if I wasn't sliding fee scale patient. If you are poor he treats you like dirt.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
