List of Jonathan Cahill's Reviews
Jonathan Cahill is an amazing Neurologist and Doctor. Genuinely cares for his patients. Absolutely great. Love him.
Run away
I saw Dr. Cahill for a multiple sclerosis medication consult. After gathering all of the information and considering the risk/benefit ratio I decided I didn't want to take any of the ones that were currently being offered. Dr Cahill didn't like this, he wanted me on a medication even though I didn't want to. I continued to see him a few more times and each time he asked me to get on an MS drug. I got tierd of explaining why I didn't want to take any of the available drugs. I started to feel that he didn't care at all about me but rather what drug I was willing to take. That ended any desire I had in dealing with him. Seing him became annoying as I was opposed to any of the drugs yet be just keep on sabot them. I felt that he didn't care at all about me or value my well informed decision.
I spent MANY times in the emergency room after passing out, and a long time that I went undiagnosed until I was treated by Doctor Cahill. He found that I had (S.R.E.A.T.), a extremely rare auto immune disease. He spent the time to diagnose and treat this very difficult disease, and I am grateful to have such a brilliant Neurologist. Peter D.
Best doctor in the world! 😁
He's an amazing doctor. He takes his time and genuinely cares. Anytime I've had an issue, him or his staff would always get back to me. In an emergency he came through and always does.
I was diagnosed with MS last year and was sent to follow up with Dr Cahill after being discharged from the hospital. I was amazed by his thoroughness and attention to detail. He was not convinced that the MS diagnosis was accurate and wanted to verify it before recommending any treatment. I was impressed with his willingness to wait until things were definite. Unfortunately for me, a follow-up MRI showed issues that needed treatment. He was quick to respond, has always made me feel as if I matter, replies promptly to my calls and spend a great deal of time explaining things and answering my questions, even if they are the same questions I have already asked. I have dealt with many neurologists due to my complicated medical history, and am always grateful for him, his interns, and his staff.
My husband has been ill for several months when we first met Dr. Cahill. My husbands case was complex. Through Dr. Cahill's excellent listening skills and good bedside manner he ran a very specialized test. This test came back positive and gave us a diagnosis. A rare autoimmune disease called SREAT: Steroid-Responsive Encephalopathy with Associated Thyroiditis. I was losing my husband to "SREAT". Dr. Cahill put him on a steroid and within 24 hours I noticed he was more engaged and alert. My husband was coming back to me and it's all because of the knowledge and perseverance of Dr. Cahill. I can't put into words how extraordinary he is as a person and Medical Doctor. Thank you Dr. Cahill for saving Peter's life.
I have been seeing him for about 2 years. My diagnosis from 2 previous nero's has been MS. I didn't care for them either. He disagree's. I was in a severe relapse, I know my body, he does not. He felt I have a viral infection or such. Most times he DOES NOT even perform an exam but sits in front of computer. He is not up to speed on the patient sitting in front of him. Repeatedly asks you for your name. Though pleasant enough I dont' think he's the best fit for an MS patient with on going pain and issues, being easily dismissed as not being MS symptoms. I am on enough MS blogs to know what my pain is speaking with other MS patients. We are more informed than most docs out there. Just wish I could find a good fit with someone who listens, respects your thoughts and doesn't poo poo them away. Seems all these docs are into the double booking, rush appointments and $$$$ at the end of the day. Bedside manner & listening to a patient goes a long way. Conclusive MRI results can't be dismissed as not being MS. My chronic pain, exhaustion, leg cramps, vertigo & the inability to fully walk at times. 10 years of this I am about to throw the towel in and say forget it to the quack doctors & the all the drugs they push. Happy, not so much.
Dr. Cahill listens and really makes you feel like you matter and are not just another patient. He is personable and caring. I have been with other neurologists and have felt in the past like just a number.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
