This guy is awful. I was at Miriam Hospital for back pain and waited for 2.5 hours for him to "read" my x-rays, all for me to see him behind the counter just texting for most of the time. When he finally came in he was extremely rude and dismissive and just seemed very unknowledgeable (he did graduate from a terrible med school so that explains a lot). Honestly don't know how he has a license.

I saw Dr. Lauro at Miriam Hospital. He was extremely arrogant and dismissive of my concerns. He told me the ER is for life threatening situations only even though I told him my stomach was extremely distended and feel like it was going to explode.

He was the doctor on duty at Miriam's ER during my visit. He was arrogant and dismissive of what I was trying to communicate. After explaining to him how poorly I felt he said the ER is only for life threatening situations. I was extremely ill and in pain! As a patient how am I supposed to know if something is life threatening or not until I get checked out? He also assumed I gathered information from the internet when I was just expressing my concerns. Completely discusted with his behavior!

In all my visits to hospitals, not many in emergency rooms, he had the best bedside manner of all. He possessed calmness and assurance while applying stitches in my hand while my blood pressure surged to the ceiling. He turned a bad thing into a good thing. He was the "bomb diggity".

Anyone who has been unlucky enough to have to make an unexpected trip to the ER knows the fears and uncertainty you feel when you pass through the doors. Weather is a family member in need of medical attention or you yourself who is in need, a busy hospital is not exactly what anyone's opinion of peaceful. Dr. Joseph LLauro has seen my mother twice through her fight w/ rectal cancer and he treated both of us w/ such kindness and patients. Thank you to him especially and to the entire Miriam staff!
