Terrible hospital..because of the nurses!! from the emergency room to the labor delivery nurses! No empathy..no compassion. This hospital is mainly filled with young girls who think they are such big ordeals because they have RN after their name; not meant to discredit all nurses. But Give me a break.. experienced nurses do NOT act or behave in a manner that they think they are better! Experienced nurses focus on providing quality care.
My wife gave birth at Women & Infants in early September and we both couldn't have been more pleased with our experience. From the moment we arrived at the check-in desk until the morning we checked out, every single staff member went above and beyond to help us and ensure my wife was as comfortable as possible leading up to, during and after bringing our little one into the world. From the security officers and in-take staff, to the meal service team and on-site photographer, and ESPECIALLY the many nurses and doctors who tended to us and our baby throughout our stay, everyone was exceptionally kind, professional and truly made us feel at home. Beyond the staff, all of the facilities we used and rooms we stayed in were clean, modern and helped provide a comfortable experience during our 3 days at the hospital. Thank you thank you thank you to everyone at Women & Infants, and an extra shoutout to our team of nurses including Bonnie, Luis, Amanda, Sadiqa, Meredith, and many others whose names are escaping us at the moment!
My 46 hour labor experience was terrible, as was my 2 day recovery stay after an unplanned c/section due to largely horrible nursing staff. (It was so bad I left the hospital 2 days early despite barely being able to walk!) One example of the type of treatment I received is on my way to L&D from triage, a nurse slammed me into the wall in a wheel chair while I was actively contracting (she missed the elevator door). She literally didn’t acknowledge what she had done as I screamed in pain from her slamming my legs and feet into the wall. Another example is nursing staff threatened me with “needing a c section,” and said “we’ll see about that” while laughing about my request to not push on my back, and ultimately forced me to push on my back despite my baby’s heart rate decelerating when I was in that position. They set me up to fail every step of the way and ultimately I needed an unplanned and urgent C-section. Nursing staff administered dozens of extra doses of epidural to me without consent while I passed out between contractions (which I could feel because my epidural didn’t work properly!), and in fact I gave explicit direction NOT to. Recovery unit nurses were frankly just mean and impatient with me as I struggled to walk after surgery, (and being awake and in labor for 46 hours). One of the lactation consultants made me bleed with how rough she was. Nurses told me my baby needed formula when I declined to pump on their exact schedule of when they wanted me to (tbh I just wanted to use the bathroom and eat breakfast first as it was 11am and I hadn’t done either yet that day!). And honestly, the list goes on and on. I would never go back to this hospital and I would never recommend it to anyone.
The hospital in itself is good. Still following covid protocol where you cannot wait for someone who is in surgery. Most of the staff was helpful. There was one security guard who thought she was the gift if God to mankind and believed she owned the place, extremely rude and condescending. I respect authority but this chic had my blood boil over. Still waiting in billing so let's see how much the hospital messes up. They already messed up emergency contacts twice, yet to find out.
I gave birth to my son here in September 2019 and I had a good experience not so much the emergency but after that it was great. I wish they had more stars ⭐️
Waited in the emergency waiting room for 4 hours having a miscarriage, when I asked how much longer the nurse said at least another couple of hours, so I left without being seen because I was in pain and treated terribly by staff. Would not recommend going even in an emergency.
Staff was incredibly supportive and caring. I went in for severe nausea (I have HG) They treated me in a very timely manner and listened to me thoroughly. Normally I hate the doctors or hospital because I feel like they never listen! But here was completely different, so glad I came here instead of the Kent county emergency room
Fantastic each baby great doctors and nurses
Dishonest billing dept. They will lie to you and tell you that you have not made payments when you have the evidence right in front of you. When you call back and get another rep they will tell you that you are current. When I asked to speak to a supervisor they said there wasn't any. When I asked to speak to anyone else they said there wasn't anyone else.
I gave birth to my son here August 2017! The nurses were great, they cared for the patients. It was overall an amazing experience and I’m happy my baby boy was born here!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
