Nancy Lasson's Online Review Report Card

I don't think I've ever walked out of a doctor's office feeling as disgusted and discouraged as I did today after seeing Nancy Lasson. This is a woman who exhibited not only a lack of empathy and understanding but who also seemed to go out of her way to be completely dismissive of my concerns. I was hoping for some understanding of the mood swings and depression I am experiencing, possibly as a result of my total hysterectomy and was looking for some insight as to the impact of lower levels of Estrogen and potential treatments or at the very least, a little understanding as to what I'm experiencing. Instead, she actually drew parallels between current events and my depression, suggesting that perhaps the war in Ukraine, the pandemic and school shootings may be a contributing factor! When I said I wasn't impacted by those issues she replied, "How could you not?" so I had to clarify by saying I didn't think they were attributing to my depression! She kept waving her imaginary 'Star Wars Laser' saying she's not able to tell me specifically what the cause was because everyone is different. Her manner was curt, abrupt and dismissive and I was left to feel as though I was wasting her time when there are more important things going on in the world! Normally, I don't take the time to write bad reviews, but I feel it's necessary to make not only her aware but others also.

I worked for Dr. Lasson for 5 years in the early 2000's. Not only was she capable and caring, she was always learning! This is especially helpful to any patient of an Internal Med physician, as they're 'up on the new info' needed to properly diagnose and treat you with! I continued to be seen at Dr. Lasson's practice for a couple years after I worked there, until we moved out of state. Highly recommend!

Dr. Nancy Lasson is a professional, intelligent, no-nonsense woman. She listens well, is encouraging, and has a sense of humor! (Something I needed with all the stresses of post-cancer life.) She is as concerned with WELLNESS and preventative care as she is with responding to specific issues that arise. That's important to me.

Dr. Lasson was my primary care doctor for several years. She learned of a family problem I had through my daughter and scheduled a time to meet and discuss possible solutions. She always went above and beyond and will always be missed in Wilmington.

My daughter overheard Dr. Lasson tell her assistant that she was lazy. She left md’s office in tears. HOW COMPASSIONATE!

She was the best Doctor I've ever had & was my PCP for at least 20 years. She took the time to listen & understand what was going on with you & your life. She answered all questions & made wonderful suggestions for your health & life. I hated to see her move. I'm sure her new patients will be equally impressed.

Dr Lasson's knowledgable, listens well, & has a great bedside manner. She's highly recommended!!

From the first time I visited Nancy I felt she really cares about me and is willing to spend the time I need with her. This might make her run late now and then but I know she is giving the best possible care to me and her other patients. When I have a concern she leaves no stone unturned until there is a real answer and treatment. I would recommend her to all my family and best friends.

She replaced my initial physician, who told me it would be a long time to recover, she however said I would NEVER get better. I still think my first Dr. was accurate, being the eternal optimist
