She's very smart and takes her time to explain results and meds. Shes friendly and her staff is sweet too.

Found her to be very condescending. Confused Pepcid and Prevacid when reporting meds that I'm on and got a degrading lecture about how important it is to know about different medication types. Also felt belittled when I couldn't find the descriptive adjectives she wanted to describe what heart burn is. she wouldn't accept heartburn and looked at me like I was stupid when I struggle to define what that meant. I'm in healthcare and I'm not stupid but she had a very convincing way about her that made me feel like I unintelligent and I convenient.

My experience was not good. I felt she did not listen to me nor take proactive measures to determine my problem. Simply dismissed my conditions to side effects from medications and previous surgeries. Ended up in the emergency room because she was not proactive. Her colleagues were far superior in listening and prescribed appropriate testing. If I was listened to initially, emergency room could have been avoided. N

Dr. Okpara was dismissive and all but threw some tums at me. Not at all helpful and I've been billed by both her office and Women & Infants for the 15 minute office visit.

Dr Okpara is very knowledgeable and professional, strait to the point and caring for patients I would highly recommend that doctor !!! All stuff at endoscopy department was amazingly kind, caring and professional .. it was very good experience for me !

Dr. Okpara showed limited knowledge of the issues I was dealing with. She is not up to date on the latest research on issues like small intestinal bacterial overgrowth, candida overgrowth, et cetera. It seems like she relies exclusively on what she learned in med school, regardless of the fact that she is unable to help her patients.

My office visit and subsequent colonoscopy with Dr. Okpara left me with a most positive impression of her and the W & I practice. Everyone whom I encountered--the receptionist/appt. confirmer, procedure reviewer, nurses, and physician--were thoughtful, respectful, and completely focused on my care. The overall experience did not feel like a "colonoscopy factory" as with other facilities. It felt as if my care was their sole focus. Dr. Okpara is professional and highly qualified.
