List of Petra Klinge's Reviews
Dr KLINGE and her staff are the worst experience I ever had. It is very stressful to acquire an appointment. Staff is very inattentive and does not answer telephones, voicemail, or respond to messages in any circumstance. Wait time once in her office is at least an hour due to staff and Dr KLINGE’s conversations with each other rather than the patient. Follow up is nonexistent. No one there informs you of any results however are very prompt to send insurance company and patient a bill. Dr KLINGE is adamant about having any and all tests, procedures and/or Dr visits at RIH only. I believe a patient has the right to choose any insurance approved testing place or Dr. I strongly do not recommend Dr KLINGE and her staff.
I feel I need to leave this review. I’m not prone to negative posts but I have had the worst year of my life since November 12, 2021, when I had NPH shunt surgery performed by Dr. KLINGE. I have never had such neglectful treatment in all my 77 years of life. I was told she is the best. That may be so for the surgery itself but her follow-up care is lacking to put it mildly. I have had extreme dizziness, awful headaches, imbalance, incontinence and most recently abdominal pain, where the shunt drains. My last contact with her office was early October 2022, when she had her PA send my records to my neurologist as Klinge could do no more for me. Keep in mind the shunt can be adjusted to increase or decrease the amount of fluid removed from the brain, which can affect headaches, dizziness, imbalance and incontinence. Therefore I continue to suffer with these issues. My Primary is sending me for a CT scan of my abdomen tomorrow. Hopefully there is nothing serious wrong. Adults with NPH beware.
Dr. Klinge takes the time to explain everything to you. She did surgery on my back which has allowed me to do things I wasn't able to do for over 5 years. Kind, compassionate, professional and caring.
Amazing, knowledgeable, confident, smart and humble. Dr. Klinge saves lives! Worth the wait.
Dr. Klinge is a gifted physician. She has kind and compassionate bedside manner, but she is also a skilled surgeon. Her attitude is humble and patient serving. Dr. Klinge diagnosed me with tethered syndrome (TCS). Even after another neurosurgeon (who was obviously incorrect) said that there was “nothing wrong with me”. Dr. Klinge is also knowledgeable about EDS and the issues that can come along with it. She preformed surgery for me to removed the tethering. She helped give me realistic expectations prior to surgery so I felt prepared and ready when the time came. She answered all of my questions before the procedure and was very kind to me. On the day of surgery she swept in like a fairy godmother — the moment I saw her that day I knew my life was going to change. The surgery dramatically improved my pain levels and just being Dr. Klinge’s care was healing. I feel like I got my life back, I was in 9/10 pain most days before surgery. The relief post-op is beyond what I expected. I’m more active and and mobile 5 months out than I have been in years. The office was challenging to work with at times because I can tell then are so busy. I followed up and lot too coordinate my care. I know this is something the office is working on and it felt like a situation I could handle because seeing Dr. Klinge was the most important thing to me. I would highly recommend Dr. Klinge to other folks with suspected TCS. She really is the best of the best and my results post surgery affirm that. I can’t stress enough how life altering being in Dr. Klinges care is.
Amazing doctor so smart and nice. She knows about elhers danlos syndrome and tethered cord syndrome. She's given me my life back. Her office staff can be tuff sometimes because they do not return calls as they should.
Dr.Klinge changed my life. I've had 15 surgeries to date. 3 of them with Dr.Klinge and she is absolutely wonderful. She sees things that other doctors don't, she listens when other doctors wont. I would most likely be in a wheelchair had I not met her when I did. Unfortunately I will need more surgery in the near future and I'm sure Dr.Klinge will do a great job. Sadly I cannot say the same for her staff. Her PA decides what is important to tell Dr.Klinge and what is not only she is wrong alot. She needs a new PA
Dr Klinge and her entire staff have been so wonderful - I highly recommend her. They are all extremely knowledgeable w/chiari and tethered cord and she walks you through the process, truly listens and cares so much.
My son has occult tethered cord syndrome. Dr. Klinge performed his surgery in November of 2019. Surgery, healing & care were flawless! She gave him his childhood back! Her knowledge, expertise, compassion & love for her work makes her a true gem. We learned through the process of trying to treat my son's pain, that just because one holds the title of neurosurgeon, it doesn't make them qualified or specialized enough to treat all neurological conditions. We saw Boston doctors, who are supposed to be top of the field...they missed a diagnoses because they dismissed signs & ignored symptoms. Dr. Klinge chose to take the time to pay attention, really listen to my son's journey & do the appropriate testing...and because of that he is finally able to be a child. She is the ONLY neurosurgeon I will ever trust to care for my son!
Dr Klinge was the 4th neurosurgeon my daughter saw , the other 3 in New York. She was 8…in constant pain and I was being told there was nothing wrong with her spine. Dr Klinge took a look at all of her medical history, her imaging and did a through exam and picked up on things I myself had noticed but no one else had noticed, or cared much about . We had surgery 2 months later and ALL of my daughters pain/symptoms were gone . I cried happy tears . My daughter went from in September of 2020 shopping for a wheelchair to November of 2020 a few days after being discharged literally dancing out of the hospital. This woman is an angel , extremely compassionate , and I could never repay or thank her and Laura , her PA enough. From the moment you meet her and consult with her she is willing to spend however much time necessary to answer any and all questions , and gives you a thorough intelligent explanation. She is the only person I would ever trust with my child .

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
