R. James Koness's Online Review Report Card

I had breast cancer previously and had a latisamiss dorcy flap after , not done by him , for 3 years I was yelling him there was something wrong with my right arm ..first it was I had infected lymph nodes , sent me on my way . A year later it was the muscle from the dorcy flap had twisted causing pain . Third year , by now I'm dropping things and keep losing feeling in the arm , telling him I'm in severe pain and he tells me we will wait 4 months and look again ..I said that there was something wrong and he needed to do something now ..low and behold I had surgery within a month only to find out that 18 of 19 lymph nodes had cancer and the cancer has spread to my neck , sternum , clavicle, spine , left ag and pretty much left me with 4 to 5 years to live ..not happy .

Had surgery yesterday with this wonderful doctor. Everyone at Roger Williams Hospital was professional, personable and extremely supportive. I could not ask for a better group of medical experts. Thank you all.

I have been alive for 10 years because of his skills and care...without a doubt one of the best!!

Dr Koness operating on me was the most horrible experience of my life!!This emergency surgery has effected me mentally killing my self esteem from the sloppy work he carelessly did..(5 yrs later)not only was my operation a mess but his rude arrogant bedside manner was disrespectful!! After the surgery and the follow up visits his arrogant behavior was never ending..when I mentioned this behavior to the students and other workers..they'd apologize for his rude behavior!!(it didn't seem to be something new)I could go on forever, but making a long story short..I would never EVER recommend this miserable doctor for anything pertaining to surgery. Unless you're ready to jump off a bridge, then make a visit to Koness..hell give you the push and be happy doing it!!! Also I was sick for a yr after because there were stitches in my stomach that weren't cleaned out,popped up through my skin 1 yr ltr)

Dr Koness is amazing! I was diagnosed with invasive breast cancer at 39 and am here today, almost 5 years later thanks to his medical care.

Wonderful

I haven't seen him recently. However I was admitted to woman and infants at 19 pregnant with first baby and extremely scared. I was told I had gallstones and needed my gallbladder removed ASAP. I was only 7months pregnant. Dr. Koness performed the surgery. He was extremely compassionate and seemed to genuinely care about his patients. I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr koness was the worst Dr. Ive ever dealt with, he's miserable,horrible bedside manner and treated me like a bum on the streets. His surgery was sloppy and he's rude and NO COMPASSION!!!

I have been followed at the RW Breast Health Clinic for 40 years now, first with Dr Wanebo, then Dr Taneja, and now with Dr. Koness. Have had great confidence in all three doctors. Feel very lucky to have found this center many years ago.

The staff and Dr . Koness were absolutely Amazing. The people who were so disrespectful with their ratings were so WRONG. COMPASSIONATE, CARING ,PATIENCE . Please do understand I have been to Doctors that don't have any Personality or bed side manner. Doctor Konass most certainly does and makes you feel you are in good hands. I am not related to the Doctor in anyway. Just tired of people saying unjustified things about people. Thank Youb
