Upon the recommendation of Howard Safran at the Lifespan Cancer Institute, and after having undergone eight cycles of chemotherapy, I selected Dr. Rachel Beard to be my surgeon. We had a complex surgery that involves the removal of a large tumor in my liver. She works very closely with Dr. saffron to ensure that the tumor size was diminished, and that we had sufficient margins to reduce the amount of bleeding and to make sure that the amount of liver removed was not too great. I found her to be exceptionally professional, and very skilled. She will save your life when the chips are down and after my surgery with her, I am cancer free. I cannot recommend her more highly, and I come from a family of medical doctors.
Extremely unprofessional and rude. Did not make eye contact with my mom, seemed like she was in a hurry? Was on her phone texting most of the time, disregarded my moms questions. She used a translator even though I was there to translate. Extremely frustrating that this is the people on healthcare.
Very professional. She was very knowledgeable about my condition and took care of the problem.
Dr. Beard was wonderful. She really took the time to listen to me and surgery went great.
Terrible! self righteous!
My husband had a 20 year old hematoma that no other doctor would touch. It was causing muscle atrophy and nerve damage. She took it on with expertise, enthusiasm and was very professional. She consulted with trauma doctors to ensure she was considering all the factors. We felt like she had done a thorough job on researching this unique problem. She did the surgery and his recovery has been very good. Wish we had found her years ago.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
