List of Ryan Mctaggart Md's Reviews
Dr. McTaggart received his training in top tier national medical centers which is evident in the very high level of competence and professionalism in which he performs interventional radiology procedures . In addition to his excellent technical and clinical skills, he relates to the patient in a very engaged, communicative and empathic manner without arrogance or aloofness. I strongly recommend him if you need the services of an interventional radiologist for stroke related issues.
Dr. McTaggart is truly the best of the best!! He takes the time to get to really know his patients and becomes someone you KNOW you can trust. He has taken so much time to explain my diagnosis, ensure that I understand my treatment options and built a relationship with myself and my husband that we will continue for years to come. He truly becomes your "friend for life!". I couldn't imagine having anyone other than Dr. McT caring for me. He is truly the best of the best!
Dr. McTaggart is amazing. Not only did he save my life, but he is the kindest physician I have ever been treated by. 10/10.
Just a few months ago I experienced a TIA and as a result learned that I had two unruptured brain aneurysms. Finding out that I had two brain aneurysms was not only a surprise but terrifying!!! I was very fortunate to meet Dr. McTaggart while in the emergency room at Rhode Island Hospital. I felt very comfortable and confident in Dr. McTaggartâs expertise and skills right from the start. He really took a lot of time to talk to my fiancé, parents and family about the aneurysms; their shape, size, and how best to treat. He answered all of our questions and concerns honestly and in a way that made us feel more comfortable. Dr. McTaggart was great at helping me feel as comfortable as possible with the whole process. He assured me that âI would be okâ and âAll will be fine.â And he was right!!! I had two pipeline embolizations within three weeks of each other and I am recovering very well! I was able to come home after the second procedure the very next day! Dr. McTaggart definitely went above and beyond any doctor that I have ever worked with and was very involved and invested from day one. He is genuine and caring and connects with his patients and treats them like they are family. No question is too small and he is always quick to respond. I can definitely see how passionate and invested he is in what he does I know that my family and I all feel that he is the best in his field, both in skill and bedside manner and I would highly recommend him. Words alone cannot adequately express how incredibly fortunate I feel to have Dr. McTaggart as my doctor. I truly believe he saved my life!
Dr. McTaggart is absolutely amazing! I would highly recommend him to anyone who is need of his expertise. Understandably, when I was first diagnosed with my brain aneurysm, my husband and I were in a bit of a state of shock. Dr. McTaggart sat and fully explained everything to us: the concerns, the full procedure of what would take place and what to expect after the procedure. He always made sure that not only I was feeling confident in him, but my husband's needs were being taken care of as well. The day after my procedure, he came in to check in on me, even though he knew his team would be checking in on me, before he travelled for work in another area. He took the time to sit and talk with my 3 year old and made sure we were all comfortable with the outcome. One phrase I will always remember, before parting he shook my hand and said "Friends for life. If you ever need anything, I'm just a phone call away." Above and beyond the greatest doctor I have come in contact with!!
My sister was rushed to Rhode Island hospital with what we though was a migraine. She actually had a sinus thrombosis- multiple blood clots in the center of her brain. Dr.McTaggart did her surgery the same night she was brought in, removing as many clots as he could. With out him my sister would not have survived, yet alone thrive. 4 weeks later and he is still coming in to see her progress. We owe him for saving her life!!!!
Dr. McTaggart was awesome. He was very thorough in explaining my medical concerns and very patient. Great Experience!
I would definitely choose this doctor again. He was very patient and explained everything and took the time to write information on my condition for me to follow. He has an excellent bedside manner.
Dr McTaggart recently treated my Mom for a brain aneurysm. To say the diagnosis is scary - is an understatement. My Mom found Dr McTaggart herself, doing some research on the internet. She called his office and was asked to send him a copy of her lab reports. Dr McTaggart called her himself after reviewing the reports and said he wanted to see her as he believed he could help her. That personal touch extended throughout the entire process. He really took the time to get to know her as a person. She was not just a number or random name on a chart to him, she was a person, with a family that loves her very much. That makes a huge difference. Dr McTaggart ultimately decided to treat the anuerysm with a technique called "flow diversion". As he explained to us, the device was approved by the FDA and in use in the US for only a few years. My Mom's first doctor never mentioned this as a treatment option. Dr McTaggart clearly explained the process to us, and the risks. He told us he consulted with colleagues across the country and in his opinion this was the best course of treatment for my Mom, as other methods were less likely to be successful. The morning of the surgery Dr McTaggart again reviewed his treatment plan and the risks. While very scary to hear, I think the honesty is necessary. The 3 hours in surgery were the longest 3 hours of my life. Thankfully my Mom's surgery went great - no complications. After just one night in ICU, she was able to go home. Given the minimally invasive nature of the procedure, other than being very tired from the after effects of the anesthesia, she's had no other side effects. She will have a couple of follow up scans over the next few months to ensure that the aneurysm has properly responded post treatment. We are all very optimistic and look forward to putting this behind us. I would highly recommend Dr McTaggart - he saved my Mom's life.
I had been to several doctors trying to get an answer as to my condition. After meeting with Dr. McTaggart and having an angiogram performed, he was able to determine my problem - an Arteriovenous Fistula. While it took two attempts, he was able to deal with the fistula and I no longer have the rumbling noise that followed my heart beat. I can now sleep at last Dr. McTaggart was very supportive of my condition throughout the treatment..

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
