List of Stephen C. Saris's Reviews
I had suffered a painful cervical injury which brought me to Dr. Saris. We met via both telehealth and in-office visits. I've always felt heard and honored as a patient. My injury, procedures, and options were always explained to me in way that I could understand, always with compassion. Surgery was necessary in my case, and it was scheduled in a timely manner. All of my questions were answered, and I even had specific surgical requests that were honored by Dr. Saris and the hospital staff. My surgery went very well, and I was able to rest and recover comfortably at home. Surgical recovery is a journey that the patient is also responsible for. I followed all of the post- op guidelines from Dr. Saris such as having support at home, diet suggestions, and more. Every day my condition improved due to Dr. Saris and his team. My mood lifted, energy level increased, and confidence soared due to the decrease of chronic pain. I am so very grateful for my experience with Dr. Saris and staff.
Very arrogant did procedure for trigeminal neuralgia to my face made problem 10× worse did not read any information I brought to him never did an MRI of my brain if he had he would have seen vein in my head runs beside the trigeminal nerve !!!! Problem was and still is in my brain not my face he did painful radiation procedure to!! Still in extreme pain!!! He would not let me explain anything at inperson office visit I had to remain completely silent he asked 7 questions and left me in lurch about procedure will see him in blank
I had a telehealth consultation this morning with Dr. Saris after an ER visit to B&W hospital for an emergency neurosurg eval. regarding long-standing cervical injuries. To begin, it took less then 24 hours from my ER discharge to the time Michelle from the office contacted me to set my follow- up appointment. I was scheduled within 72 hours. When you are having spinal disc/cord concerns, this rapid response from a medical team is paramount. Dr. Saris was easy to talk to and explained things in a way I could relate to and understand. I felt that he understood me as a younger(ish) disabled person and all of the fears and concerns that come along with that. I appreciated the time I was given in order to explain and share my experience. Dr. Saris alleviated my worst fears and brought things in to perspective for me.
Dr Saris in contracted by insurance companies to perform IME’s. He gets paid a lot of money to make up false reports about your health. One would think a doctor would not be able to lie about your injury but he can. I have read several of his IME reports and they are all standardized. He changes a few things in them like your name and date but everything else states according to medical journals your injury is soft tissue and your injury has healed. My favorite is you failed the Waddell test, which is basically is way of saying you are lying about your injuries. I have consulted several attorneys and they all know who he is and that he falsifies his reports. Apparently when you quote a medical journal or give your personal medical opinion it’s not considered lying. Saris told me I was not injured and I can go back to work. 3 weeks after his IME I was having back surgery in Boston to fix “my healed back injury.” I guess money is more important than his integrity.
I would recommend Dr. Saris to anyone without hesitation after the very positive experience I have had with him. He explained the entire procedure exactly as it would happen, answered all my questions and the results have been wonderful.
Dr. Saris simply and clearly explained the problem I was having with my back pain and provided me with my options. I felt very at ease with him and I trusted his opinion. I proceeded with surgery. His staff, especially his nurse Sarah for which I received a phone call from her Sunday night prior to my surgery day to check in with me and gave me her personal cell phone number so my wife could follow-up while I was recovery. All Dr. Saris' staff went beyond their job description to prepare me and answer any questions I may have had. Dr. Saris personally called me after my surgery to ask how I was doing and had a conversation with me about my recovery thus far and what to expect as the days progressed. I highly recommend Dr. Saris if you have any pain or discomfort and require a Neurosurgeon.
excellent physician, professional and practical. advised me against surgery, even though that is how he makes his living. Rare thing to find honesty and integrity these days.
I am a patient of Dr. Saris who performed surgery on my neck a few weeks ago. I feel great and have not had anymore pain.
Had evaluation a few months ago. Was told I didn't need surgery and I should try injections. I am so glad I went to Dr. Saris. I feel great and no surgery.
I went in to meet with Dr.Saris in in February, I was told I needed to have back surgery. I went forward with my procedure & I ended up with great results. I am able to get back to work, and spend time with my family pain free! Would highly recommend.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
