List of Steven Milman's Reviews
Very professional and skilled at what he does. I'm pleased with my results. Thank you
I was operated on by Dr, Milman, hecould not have been more attentive and caring. I was hospitalized for 6 days post op after having half my lung removed. Dr Milman was there everyday and when he wasn't around his team was. I would highly recommend him knowing you would be in good hands.
Is zero stars an option? The rudest doctor we have encountered. It wasn't a lack of bedside manners, it was pure rudeness. He doesn't like you to ask questions and responds as if you should already know the answer. We had heard this about him from several people. A friend chose to go to Boston after his consult with him. We chose to stay with him to be local and he is the only thoracic surgeon in RI. What a mistake. Dismisses patients as if to just to keep his day moving, with zero compassion. He has a reputation as a good surgeon. I suppose if you have thick skin and can handle this type of person you will be ok. I feel like a patient deserves a little time and care when being diagnosed with cancer and going for a big surgery. If you chose to see him, my advice would be to go for a second opinion as well.
Dr. Milman was very professional and corrected my breathing issue after struggling for 9 months. After seeing Dr. After he was able to perform surgery and have me my life back. Truly grateful.
My husband had pleurodesis surgery 4 years ago after a spontaneous pneumothorax. We were assured that Dr. Milman was an excellent surgeon and all would go well. Just this past month my husband had to have the procedure repeated on the same lung because it didn’t work. He insisted that the surgery would work and we were told he could not get a collapse again on that same side. Now he is practicing in a different state.
He was a fantastic thoracic surgeon when I had to go in for my lung surgery. Seemed to be a bit overwhelmed with patients during the time, but overall was good
Dr. Milman was extremely thorough with his explanations of everything we would be doing going forward. He alswered all of my questions honestly. Wonderful surgeon
never showed up for our appt. had emergency surgery. however never bothered to have anyone call the clinic to say he wasn't going to be able to make it. Waited over 2 hours with excuse after excuse that he'd be there any minute. They didn't even know! Then 5 minutes before procedure he cancelled Said he couldn't do the procedure on me due to other problems I have. Should of known that well before hand!!
Very talentented surgeon., I trust him without doubt. Would like more one on one with him, rather than an array of PA's and oncall doc's when in the hospital.
I was referred to Dr. Milman by Dr. Roderick McKee (speaks volumes to me, that I would be in good hands) for a rare congenital mediastinal cyst. Three days later I had an consultation appointment, Dr. Milman took the time to thoroughly explain my condition and options , he answered all my questions clearly. He suggested that I discuss it with my family. I decided to schedule surgery while I was there that day. Dr Milman suggested that if I change my mind to just call him. Surgery went well, I am thankful to Dr. Milman

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
