Steven Rasmussen Md's Online Review Report Card

I have been a patient of Dr. R for years. He and his staff are always so friendly and helpful. He definitely knows his stuff and has taken great care of me and my entire family. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I have been to this doctor 3-4 times now and he is extremely rude and careless. I had skin cancer cut off of my stomach where he cut a huge portion out instead of using a less invasive procedure (mohs). I was allergic to the stitches he used after the surgery and was in excruciating pain for about a week. The doctor called me a “delicate flower” and did nothing even though my skin was inflamed. A few days later they finally removed the stitches. A week later after the allergic reaction, I notice they did not even remove one of the stitches because my skin was so inflamed he overlooked it. He left it in my skin. What kind of doctor doesn’t remember how many stitches he put in and how many he pulled out? Back at the doctor...he once again is demeaning and tells me I’m the one that’s being too sensitive. Well, he is the one that can’t do his job correctly. He is incapable of doing a good job. He is incapable of doing a decent job.

Despite seeing other specialists, Rasmussen was actually able to help me and reassure me that there is hope I highly recommend him.

Dr. Rasmussen is the best. He found skin cancer that other doctors missed. His staff is great. Dr. Rasmussen takes the time to listen to all your concerns/questions. He is a tremendous doctor and a great person.

I went in with many concerns and he took the time to go over every one of them. He was very helpful and took care of everything for me. He was very friendly and helpful.

Excellent visit with Dr. Rasmussen. Dad had not seen a Dermatologist in years. Dr. Rasmussen did a good look and identified several "precancer" spots - which were promptly frozen by Assistants Cody and Hannah. Will return for visit next year. Excellent job by this team.

Dr. Rasmussen agreed to see my elderly father (who has Alzheimers) for a rather large skin cancer. My father would not let anyone assess the skin cancer and had said angrily that no doctor was going to touch him. However, Dr. Rasmussen talked to my father compassionately, yet in a professional manner- enough for my father to establish trust and confidence in him. Dr. Rasmussen was kind - and matter of fact about how to treat his skin cancer. My father allowed Dr. Rasmussen to treat the cancer. Dr. Rasmussen was efficient, and we are so thankful for his caring, efficient manner and his exceptional clinical skills in taking care of my father.

I have been a patient of Dr. Rasmussen for years. He is my favorite doctor! I love how caring he is. He gives his personal office number to reach him directly if you have any questions or concerns following your visit. I have never had a doctor do that. He has the best staff! They are all very friendly and helpful! He is by far the best dermatologist that I have ever been to and I highly recommend him! His visits are always efficient and he able to address all my concerns and get me treated without me having to wait around all day.

I went to Dr. Rasmusse some years back. I was afraid at first but he quickly made me feel relaxed . He took time to go over everything and answer all my questions. The waiting room was very relaxing and he had a player Sat out with all kinds of healthy snacks. I felp spoiled during my visits. One of the things I had done were my lips. The way he does then is awesome . He goes in and does the liner first to get the shape he wants then fills them. I've been to other doctors who just do the injections and you walk out with funny fat lips. I have never found anyone who shapes them so beautiful like Dr. Rasmusse does. I traveled from San Antonio to Austin to see him.. I'm In California now and will fly over just to have him do my lips & Botox.. Steve I need a appointment..

Dr. Rasmussen is knowledgeable, doesn't oversell the treatments plans, reassuring that improvements can be made, and he and his staff are very nice and empathetic with their patients.
