Several years ago my 84-year-old father was diagnosed with 2 large blood clots in his leg. He was transported from Landmark Hospital via rescue to Rhode Island Hospital for emergency surgery in the hope of saving his leg. God was with him that day because Dr. Carruthers was waiting for him at the hospital. In surgery for 7 hours, Dr. Carruthers removed the blood clots and not only saved my dad's leg, he saved my dad's life. We are forever grateful to this wonderful surgeon.

Dr. Carruthers is very professional and respectable. As a surgeon he does excellent work. He genuinely cares about his patients and their recovery. Personally, he was very understanding to my needs and concerns when he did several surgeries on me. I highly recommend him. I wish there were more like him.
