I have a rare genetic disorder that causes my body to respond differently to various surgical procedures and medications. Dr, Binek did not take the suggested surgical precautions seriously, nor did he seem interested in looking into them himself. He was dismissive of my pain, anxiety, and discomfort. However, when several complications arose during the procedure he knew when to stop. Additionally, he was very clear about what he was doing and why, my options, and his recommendations.

I recently developed pneumonia and a blood clot in my leg. A piece of the blood clot broke away, became lodged in my lung and I unknowingly developed Empyema. I couldn't breath and was rushed to Kent Hospital. Dr Benick successfully installed a chest tube and IVC filter in me and two liters of infected fluid were drained. I avoided a major surgery and consider him to be the best at what he does as well as the Nurses and staff at Kent County Hospital.
