Have been seeing Dr. Michel for over 15 years. I have never had a doctor so calm, compassionate, direct, and dedicated to the safety and comfort of myself and my child. I would recommend her and her team time and time again!

She has to be the sweetest kindest most best OBGYN that I know she is my gyno doctor and I love her and she listens and she's very respectful and I love that I can joke with her

Dr. Michel and her staff are professional and nice! So welcoming and I've had 2 babies with her - great communication on expectation and both babies were delivered easily and healthy. I have no doubts baby #3 will be no different. Can say enough nice things about her and her staff.

Do NOT use Dr. Michel. She prefers to control her clients instead of ask questions to understand her clients needs. I met her for 5 minutes after my 1st ultrasound. The US looked good. Without getting to know me, at 8 weeks she told me I'd need to come back at 12 weeks for a pap smear and cervical check ( I had one almost a year ago). I said I won't be doing that & i dont want people messing with my cervix right now (i didnt tell her but it was due to miscarriage trauma) . Her response was then we won't work out. Red flag 🚩no 1. Secondly, I'm on a beta blocker which can reduce melatonin up to 80% and make sleep challenging. She knew I would take melatonin (she didn't know how much, how often, or why - cuz she didn't ask). She said she didn't recommend melatonin due to the lack of research. Actually, there is more research coming out that melatonin is helpful to mother and potentially babe. The Sleep Foundation.org states "Melatonin may also affect neurological development in a fetus, reducing the likelihood of problems such as brain lesions." But, if not enough research is her "logic" then beta blockers don't have that much research on their effects during pregnancy either (Class C drugs). Her logic is flawed if she is calling herself "data driven". As patient, we deserve care that is collaborative. We deserve doctors who want to get to know us. We deserve to know our options and risks- not only what the OB wants us to do. We deserve to feel safe with great doctors looking at for our wellbeing. I didn't experience anything I deserve with Dr. Michel. It's exhausting to advocate for our wellbeing especially during pregnancy.
