Stephen Gross's Online Review Report Card

The office staff is friendly, professional and competent. Dr. Gross is one of the most amazing doctors I have met. He takes his time, listens carefully and explains everything in detail in a way you can understand. He has a good sense of humor and feels more like a good friend. His surgical experience is impeccable and he remains a highly sought after surgeon for knee and hip problems. in the Westerly area there is no one better in my opinion.

Dr Gross is a great surgeon. He did my carpel tunnel surgery on both hands. I see him for injections in my shoulder where I have arthritis. If you need an orthopedic doctor se Dr. Gross. You won’t be sorry.

Dr. Gross is a caring professional with decades of experience. I like his friendly manner, and all the staff are extremely polite and nice. I had a total hip replacement and all my questions and concerns were addressed in advance, even before I voiced them. That is because this practice is very thorough in informing their patients regarding what to expect. You get a one-hour training with a binder to keep. All very organized.

Not much to say its first visit and need to have tests but my previous visits and surgery with him were and still are excellent

Dr Gross was excellent. I had broken my ankle as well as my wrist in a fall, he explained clearly what we needed to do to avoid surgery. He has a wonderful personality and was very easy to talk to. His staff was cordial and pleasant. I would definitely recommend him to family and friends.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Dr Gross is knowledgeable. Prefers to be conservative unless surgery is necessary. My husband went to him and now I go. Will continue.

Very unfriendly, he was not interested in my pain management, I have to have both hips replaced, bone on bone, when I asked him for something stronger than the ibuprofen and acetaminophen I've been taking, he refused, he said "its more of an incentive to get the operation quicker" so, I have to suffer LONGER just so he can line his pocket. Not only am I going to another doctor, I am no longer a Lawrence and Memorial patient!!!!!!!!

Went to Dr. Gross to check pain in left shoulder. Since I had lost upward motion in my right arm after rotator cuff surgery several years ago, I wanted to check and see if I might have a problem with the rotator cuff in left arm. I had x-rays, I waited while, I assumed, he was reading x-ray results. He came back in room; said I did not have to worry about losing upward motion because of my rotator cuff; he gave me a cortisone injection, said he would do so every four months, etc. He never mentioned the x-ray results (had nothing to do with the rotator cuff at all); of course, the cortisone injection did not work, so I sent him a message on "my chart", and I finally asked for a copy of x-ray results which stated "spurring of acromioclavicular joint and AC joint arthropathy". He evidently never read the x-ray results before giving me the cortisone injection for rotator cuff pain!!!!!!!
