I dont know what i was expecting of dr. karanth on my first visit but was very impressed with this man within the first 2 minutes of talking with him.i find most doctors i have contact with to be somewhat shallow and removed from the patient.i instantly felt like he was a longtime friend or someone i would buy a drink for in a bar.ive never met a doctor that gave me that feeling.i went to his las ...
After seeing my Primary Care Doctor July 19th for upper and lower Gi Issues. Optium care and there 3rd party portal system released my name and I was the lucky winner to received a call for Digestive Associates . The soonest appointment available was August 31 at 11:30 with DR. NIKHIL KARANTH,MD ( Please try to arrive 15 minutes to fill out paperwork). I arrived at 11:26 and was told the Doctor Left because I was late. Detail of the 3 car accident, that I'm sure he drove by or if my appointment with paperwork was actually at 11:15 . An ethical good Dr. leaving a sick visit, not for an emergency but because he could,if a patient is 10/15 minutes late.Dr ??Ethics, care, compassion, oath. Office staff and a call from the office manager made it clear it is his choice to leave. Dr. Karanth, the only Dr. at seven hills location maybe a Dr by education??? He is not a Dr. of Ethics one that I would trust or recommend under any circumstance.
Awful doctor! Had the test he recommended never heard from him agai . I went to another gi dr. I have crohns disease. He is dismissive and makes you feel uncomfortable in his presence. I've heard he is now in Vegas. I wonder why
Terrible doctor who misdiagnosed me, gave me meds I found out I was allergic to, and temporarily passed me off when I got really sick. months later when I tried to go back they lied saying I "missed appointments" which I never missed a single one
My son saw him while he was in the hospital. (Did not pick him) Along with many other doctors. All the doctors were very professional, kind and helpful. Until this doctor came into his room! This doctor talks down to his patients! My son is autistic. (High functioning.) This doctor talked down to both me and my son! He was arrogant and rude! He would ask a question and talk over your answer back, immediately. Never even hearing your answer. I don’t know why he bothers even asking. Very condescending. His tone reminded me of a high school snotty girl. SO unprofessional!!!! I’ve never written a review on a doctor before but I must say BEWARE to people thinking of seeing him by choice!
I found Dr Karanth to be a very caring and personble physician as well as an excellent professionl.
Phenomenal doc, listens to you, don't feel rushed, highly recommend
One of the most caring doctors you could hope for, he spends the time it takes to make sure you feel comfortable and understand, excellent
My initial meeting was gained via referral from Memorial hospital of Pawtucket. Right off the bat I could tell by his cutting me off whenever I asked something, the dismissive attitude and the seemingly rush to get it over with (my presence), that this guy did not like me. What kind of doctor does not want to hear what the patient has to say or what concerns the patient is seeking to be addressed? So this guy ordered a few tests and my insurance was charged much money for them. I submitted and complied to all the tests. Then I never heard from this guy again...no calls back informing me of test results, no call back for any follow up treatment. Months later when I finally reached out to inquire what was going on, I was told there is no record of my name in his office. A doctor is given broad discretion enabling him to spend the money of insurance companies, get paid for it too and can even be selective in who he/she will follow up a course of treatment with. There are so many ways a doctor can enrich himself at the expense of the insurance companies while doing very little for the patient. Whatever happened to the oath a doctor takes to help people? Don't go to this guy, he only wants to make money and will do very little or nothing for you.
Would never recommend this doctor. Impressed with the care of a family member at first, but my opinion changed over time. We have since switched to a more caring physician

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
